Hello!
I need help. Literally.
I’m looking for an experienced hair stylist with an existing client base to join me.
I can offer reasonable rent, laidback work environment, a shop dog, and everything retro in the shop. The space for rent is a self contained wet station (sink in booth).
Message me for details 😊

Very good and useful information. Well worth the read.

Coronavirus: Here’s how germs are spread and where you’re most likely to catch them As lockdowns start to be lifted, Professor of Biology Erin Bromage explains how infectious diseases spread - and which places to avoid.

For my hair peeps... as you may have heard the Safer At Home order has been overturned.... BUT, I haven't seen that hair places can open as of yet. When this happens, there are many things that we as hair professionals will need to do to keep our customers, and ourselves, safe and healthy. As I have been reading, in order to do my part to not spread COVID-19, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation has posted guidelines for how we operate our businesses to keep everyone safe.

I am letting you know that in order to do my due diligence, this is going to take time in order to be able to get things set and ready to greet you all. With so much uncertainty at this time with how this virus is going to impact our communities, I fear that using "good old common sense" will fall on deaf ears for some. This is serious, and I want to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. We cannot think that life is going to go back to normal. The time for that is past, and all we can do is move forward to our "new normal", and for me as a professional business owner, to take the necessary steps to keep myself, and those I touch as safe a possible.

First, I am going to take the necessary time I need to heal from elbow surgery, and recover fully before I return to work. It's gong to be another 2-3 weeks, that puts the time frame at the end of May/first part of June. No discussion.

When I do reopen, I will be following the necessary protocols to not spread the virus...for instance, no sitting on my cloth furniture because it cannot be wiped down and properly disinfected, so there will be a folding chair available to sit on if one needs to wait until my space is properly disinfected since my products will take at least 10 minutes to fully work...This is going to be down and dirty hair cutting time, no frills, no beard trims, and as limited contact with people as possible. We cannot social distance at 6 feet to cut hair, so, if it's important to get your hair done, then it's going to be quick. I'm not sure what the guidelines will be for washing and/or blow drying hair, or for other services like coloring and perming yet.. That's another thing I'm looking into. AND, since masking seems to be the way to inhibit the spread of the virus, I will be wearing one, and if you want me to cut your hair, you will be wearing one as well..

The list for what I need to do in order to open is long, and it's not going to be like flipping a switch to go back to how things used to be. Again, I am going to do what I feel is necessary for the health and well being of all parties involved. And.... I am going to do what's right for me. Since this is my business, I get to make the rules, and if people don't want to go by my rules, well, then, maybe I'm not the person you need to cut your hair.

As soon as I know more about dates, protocols, etc., I will post more information. And if I sound like a hardass... well, that's too bad because I'm going to be one. This is serious stuff, and I just don't want anyone I know and love become a fatal statistic.....

Good morning! Until further notice, as per Governor Ever's mandate, we will be closed to do our part not to spread the virus. Please don't play with scissors or box color during this time. See you on the other side!

I’m going to be open. No reason to go to this extreme, ok?
