As our community comes together to rebuild, I am extending my special on sound massage into mid August as a small way to support rest, relaxation and healing. There is no pressure - only an invitation to give you or your loved one permission to pause, breathe and receive.

Restorative Wellness Center

May we continue to lift one another up with compassion kindness, and hope.

My husband and I are taking this time to help some friends that have to be relocated until the damage can be assessed and rebuilt. Therefore, I am not going to coordinate a larger group effort.

For those of you who have already found a way to assist those in need, we are so grateful. If you are still looking for ways to help, I encourage you to reach out to organizations such as The United Way, Red Cross and churches.

Together, we are stronger than the storm.

Prayers to all that are trying to figure out how to put their life back together after the devastating tornado. I grew up in Menasha and many of my family and friends live in the area that was hit the hardest. Right now I am waiting to find out more about what the community would like us to do before I decide the best way to move forward with assistance. I will keep you posted so you can join me in the effort if possible.

Molly and my niece work for United Way which is always a great start for information and assistance.

If your property has been damaged, please report it by calling 211.

When you complete a damage report, it helps local emergency managers and community organizations understand where the greatest needs are so they can coordinate recovery efforts.
Days like this show how many caring people are ready to step in and help. Right now, the best thing you can do is spread the word, check on friends/family/neighbors, and allow emergency crews to do their work safely. As community needs become clearer, there will surely be ways we can all work together.

You may have noticed that I have been a bit out of touch with many of you for a while with newsletters and such. I am now ready to share some news of endings and new beginnings.

Our family has been tending to my sister-in-law, Debbie Koerner, (yes same name as me!) during her strong fight with pancreatic cancer to be with us here on earth as long as possible. Last Thursday she transitioned and we pray that she is finally at peace.

Awaiting death to be born again into spirit is like awaiting birth to be born into this world in body. You never know when the time will come and being there to hold space for a loved one and their family is such a beautiful blessing. I held space for Debbie through sound and meditation which helped her find peace, comfort and rest. Debbie especially loved the handpan and tibetan bowls as did her sweet dog, Evie, who would curl up for a nap and still be passed out as I was leaving.

I am forever grateful for our close sisterhood, for her love of my younger brother and putting up with his goofy personality, for being a nurturing, compassionate, mother to my niece (Godchild) and nephew and a fun, supportive Aunt for my girls.

Debbie will continue to be with us in spirit, serving as a reminder to live life with joy and love as she did. My almost 4 year grandson said now she will be back to haunt people which would totally be something she would have fun doing!
