Long Threshold & Lions Gate Post
My take on the symbols

I’m actually going to open with the end…

Perhaps every threshold asks the same thing of us:

To meet and tend the spaces of our growth and re-alignment.

To Re-Member what has long lived within us….waiting to be lived more fully.

Like the Sun and Moon meeting in the eclipse (8/12), there are moments when what has seemed separate finally enters into relationship.

Self and Community.

Spirit and Matter.

Receiving and Offering.

Being and Becoming.

And from these moments of union, new cycles are not simply begun…

They are consciously chosen.

These moments are not fixed points
Nor do they have fixed destinations.
They are not linear.
(Read between the lines 🧐😉)
————————————
Let’s start here (at the beginning?🙃) with the spark and a timeline:

July 29

Awakening

8°

Self.

Community.

The Bridge.

The Question.

⸻

August 8

Re-Membering

Alignment.

Reciprocity.

The heart of the Lion’s Gate.

Choosing consciously what we invite forward what is left as an offering.

⸻

August 12

Embodiment

The Eclipse.

The Threshold.

The new cycle.

Not becoming someone new…

Living more fully as the one you’ve been/ becoming all along.
————————————

Ok Here we go let’s weave some of these symbols that are in the threshold….

Within the first few days of the Lion’s Gate Portal, we are met with some of its most potent energetics.

On July 29, the Sun and Jupiter meet together at approximately 8° Leo, while the Full Moon rises at approximately 6°30′ Aquarius.

For me, this isn’t simply astrology.

It is an invitation to contemplate the language of symbols.

The number 8 has long carried the symbolism of infinity, strength, stewardship, embodiment, abundance, resilience, and the continual exchange between what we cultivate within and what we offer back to the world.

It speaks of power - not power over, but power rooted within.

It reminds us that abundance is not simply accumulation.

It is circulation.

Giving.

Receiving.

Creating.

Returning.

An endless movement of reciprocity.

Most often we recognize the 8 through the infinity symbol, a reminder that life unfolds through continuous cycles of transformation.

That symbolism is beautiful.

Yet this year…

I find myself drawn somewhere else.

Not simply to the infinity loop…

But to the upright eight.

To the two circles.

Two complete vessels.

Two landscapes.

Two ways of being held at once.

One circle holding Self.

The other holding Community.

One holding the inner landscape.

The other the shared landscape.

One rooted in Spirit.

The other embodied in Matter.

One holding what has been cultivated.

The other holding what is now ready to be offered.

One gathering.

The other giving.

And perhaps neither exists without the other.

The place where these circles meet is not simply balance.

It is relationship.

It is reciprocity.

It is reverence.

It is the threshold.

Yes, the infinity symbol reminds us of continuous cycles.

But I find myself more interested in unfastening the loop.

Not to break it…

But to create an opening….

To allow what has quietly been emerging within to consciously become part of the next cycle and the next state of being.

To allow the upright 8 to lead.

To let the place where the two circles meet become a bridge instead of simply another point in an infinite loop.

The invitation into the next cycle is not simply that a new beginning awaits us.

It asks us to become conscious of who we are inviting forward.

What qualities are we carrying across the bridge?

What ways of being are we choosing to cultivate?

What relationships are we tending?

What patterns have become complete enough to leave behind?

Without crossing with intention…

We simply repeat.

With awareness…

We participate.

Perhaps that is what this portal/threshold is truly asking of us.

Not endless becoming.

But conscious becoming.

Not simply another cycle.

But a relationship with the cycle itself.

Perhaps this is why these first days of the Lion’s Gate feel so significant.

They invite us to become self-full, not self-centered.

To remember that tending our own vessel is not separate from tending the whole.
————————————

What does it mean to honor the space of being self-full?

If we are no longer looking at ourselves through the lens of deficit, and we trust that all we need already lives within us… what becomes possible?

How differently do we walk?

How differently do we love?

How differently do we create?

What are you Re-Member-Ing?

Not remembering as recalling…

But Re-Member-Ing—gathering the scattered pieces of yourself back into wholeness.

What are you weaving into this new, fresh cycle and state of being for your Self?

…And what are you weaving in reciprocity and reverence with community?
————————————

Seeing both the Sun and Jupiter meeting at 8° Leo feels like an invitation to expand….not through striving, but through becoming more fully ourselves.

To move outward from the quiet center of creation.

To widen.

To deepen.

To rise.

To become more spectrally aware.
————————————

Then the Aquarius Full Moon turns our attention toward the vessel that holds the water.

Community.

The collective.

The larger body that receives what each of us carries.

The Moon quietly asks:

What are you bringing to the whole?

Not how you think you’re supposed to show up…

But how do you actually show up?

And does that reflect how you truly desire to live?
————————————

The Numerical Poetry

I can’t help but notice the beautiful numerical poetry here.

The Moon arrives at approximately 6°30′, quietly echoing the familiar 3-6-9 pattern—a rhythm many associate with harmony, creative expression, and integration. Whether you see that as sacred mathematics or simply meaningful symbolism, it invites reflection on how balance emerges through relationship rather than isolation.

And then there is the date itself.

7 • 29 • 2026

A date that reduces to 10.

For me, 10 has never represented an ending.

It is the threshold.

The pause between exhale and inhale.

The moment when one cycle has become whole enough that another may begin.

A doorway rather than a destination.

Perhaps this is where the symbolism of the 8 finds its completion.

The heart of Self.

The wholeness of Community.

Two circles.

One bridge.

Not separate.

Not merged.

But forever in relationship.

Perhaps this is where the Holy—the Whole—meets us.

Where Creator.

Source.

God.

The Great Mystery.

Quietly walks beside us as we cross.

Not carrying us over…

But reminding us that we have always belonged to the bridge.

————————————

This feels especially resonant within the Year of the Yang Fire Horse.

Not because it asks us to run faster.

But because it invites us to move with greater discernment.

To honor our full spectrum.

To know when to GO.

To know when to SLOW.

To move with courage.

With intuition.

With pacing.

With vitality.

With integrity.

With trust.

The strongest horse is not the one that never stops.

It is the one that knows the rhythm of movement and rest.

The one that understands that true power is not found in constant motion…

But in moving in right relationship with the path beneath its feet.

————————————

As Leo reminds us to shine and Aquarius reminds us to contribute, and the Fire Horse reminds us of the power of right relationship perhaps this brings us a quieter invitation…..

What has become whole enough within you to cross the bridge into this next cycle?

What is quietly asking to emerge?

What are you carrying with you… and what are you ready to offer?

Where/how are you trusting the places of wisdom within (right relationship with Self)?

May this threshold not simply inspire us to seek more.

May it invite us to become more……

More present.

More whole.

More self-full.

More deeply rooted in reciprocity.

May we cross this bridge with courage.

May we walk it with reverence.

And may we discover that what waits on the other side is not someone new…

But the quiet unfolding of who we have been becoming all along.

8 ∞ 8

Embody your power.
Honor your wholeness.
Walk the bridge.

Note: if you’ve read this far I have a local invitation for you on 8/12/26. Reach out if you are interested in potentially joining me.

Something deeply meaningful is moving forward into the national conversation.

I took this weekend to sit in awe, in gratitude, and with intention around how I wanted to express this in my own words.

Stay with me for a moment, and if this resonates, let’s connect, because IT IS TIME.

We at Dream’s Garden have been building, growing, and doing the work. From that work, a vision and proposal emerged: The Dream’s Caregiver Health and Wellness Act.

On Thursday, 2/12/2026, Congressman Mike Lawler introduced this legislation. Inspired by the life and legacy of Dream Ioni Shepherd and the lived experiences of her mother, Diana Lemon.

At its core, this bill proposes $250 million in funding for nonprofits supporting caregivers.

As a caretaker I had the privilege and the heartbreak of caring for my father, over the span of 2-ish years during his journey through cancer and ultimately to the space of hospice at home. It was an intense and sacred two weeks of end-of-life care. That I am still recalibrating from. My father passed on 2/1/2024. My mother now lives with my husband and I as we continue navigating life after his passing and the ongoing complexities of her own health and wellness challenges.

Caregiving is sacred work.
It is also demanding, exhausting, and often invisible.

It moves people through layers of grief, trauma, burnout, and profound love- sometimes all in the same moment.

As a master practitioner and the owner of Willow Wisp Wellness, I have had the profound honor of supporting individuals and families including Dream and Diana through some of the most vulnerable and transformative moments of their lives.

In these moments, holistic care is not a luxury it is essential. Caregivers are navigating nervous system overwhelm, emotional strain, anticipatory grief, burnout, and the long arc of healing that follows loss.

What this legislation recognizes is that supporting caregivers requires an entire ecosystem of care and funding.

Caregivers deserve care.
The professionals and organizations who support them deserve resources.
And healing must become part of how we design policy, programs, and community infrastructure.

Walking Dream’s Way invites you into a living dialogue between body, Earth, and spirit.

Walking a reflexology path awakens over 7,000 nerve endings in the feet—each connected to organs and systems throughout the body. This gentle stimulation improves circulation, calms the nervous system, and grounds awareness in the present. When we walk barefoot, the body absorbs the Earth’s natural electrons through grounding, helping to reduce inflammation, stabilize heart rhythms, and restore inner balance. As we move, body scanning reconnects mind and breath, cultivating mindfulness and emotional regulation. And through writing and speaking what we’re ready to release—or what we’re grateful for—we activate the brain’s pathways for clarity, healing, and peace.

Every step along this path is both personal and ancestral. It honors those who have walked before us, those who will walk after us, and the self who walks now—the bridge between generations. In remembering, we reconnect. In gratitude, we belong. Here, science meets spirit, and the simple act of walking becomes a practice of renewal—steadying the body, calming the heart, and awakening the soul.

Something happened today (4/15/25) that was 3 plus years in the making in Earth time, but in lifetimes it seem like this build has been a long time in the making. Carefully curated. A full and expansive spectrum of___.

“To Live is to Dream” and what an honor it is to be a steward and care taker of this Dream. To be lead by the Essence of Dream is truly a gift. To be in the presence of my business partner and co-founder of the Ossining Community Garden of Dreams Legacy Center is nothing short of inspiring. I am grateful to be a part of the greatness that this is.

Today we closed on the property that opens the flow of legacy, lineage, community, and…. I’m looking forward to it all.
