My Uncle Frank!!
One of My First Superheros!
The Last of My Mothers Brother!

In 1999, I went to Mississippi & didn’t go see him, 3 months later, at my Stepfather’s funeral, my uncle Frank, in his smooth manner threatened me… “man don’t you ever come to Mississippi & don’t come see me” I said “Yes Sir!” … Since then I’ve not once set foot in Mississippi without checking in with the OG!

He’s a huge sports fan & a LAKERS Fan, so we would sit for hours watching games & talking, it was our thing!

I sat with him 3 weeks ago for about 4 hours, he wasn’t completely himself but that personality was still there. He waved his fist, bit his lip at me, in a threatening manner & I said “Unc, I don’t want no problems with you” & he said “shiddd, I don’t want no problem with yo big ass either” … we laughed & he held my hand! It was a beautiful moment for us

I need no praying hands, no condolences, me this man completed our mission together. I have no regrets & am at peace with his exit, rest well Unc!
