Let’s talk about it. It is one of the elephants in the room. 🎯

Pricing - at least once a day I am told I am too cheap. I prefer the word inexpensive, but it’s not my words. I realize this and that why this month my pricing began transitioning. Now in all honesty, I have been giving it all away. Those eyebrows i do and forget to charge for, that extra bowl of color, that full head of hilights vs partial, etc etc. it’s called emotional discounting and it’s costing me thousands of dollars a year!!
Yes. Thousands.

I recently got with a salon coach/advisor and we did the breakdown. After expenses, with what I have been charging and not charging for - I’m lucky if I make around $22 an hour - 💥twenty two dollars 💥- with no paid time off, no sick time, no vacation, no benefits and certainly no overtime!

👉🏼👉🏼No wonder the struggle feels so real. And with 32 years experience behind the chair, I’m worth more than that. 👈🏼👈🏼

When you come in for your appt, you may notice a shift in pricing, because I have to include the products and supplies I use. Period. I paid for it, I have to charge for it. I simply have to charge for every step of what I am doing. And by the end of June I hope to have everyone on the same page!

I know it can be uncomfortable at every juncture when it comes to pricing and conversations about money, but the reality is this - everything has gone up and I can’t keep eating it and watching my basic needs fall through the cracks so I can come to work for so many hours a week, bust my b***y and have nothing left to give in my non working hours.

Don’t worry folks, I’m not flipping a 180 and becoming a gauger- I’m simply covering my own costs and make a lil money to live on.

I appreciate each and every single one of you that sit in my chair, share your lives with me and trust me with your crown! You really truly never know how much of an impact you have made on my life through the years! Thank you!
