Main Attraction Salon

Hello..
I want to take a few minutes today to share some news with all of you- clients, coworkers and friends & fam.

As most of you know I’ve been in the hair industry for over 30 years. 14 of those were spent along side Sandy as her assistant before I chose to venture out in my own. Eventually I was able to open my own salon , but I held onto a dream: one day I might own the salon where my journey began.

May years later it became a reality when I was able to purchase this building. Owning Main Attraction on Jefferson St was a dream come true. I poured my heart and soul and vision creating a place where clients felt welcome, stylist would thrive, and lasting relationships were built.

Not long after I moved into the building that we built with blood, sweat and a few tears, COVID changed everything. Like so many businesses we faced challenges we never imagined. I was forced to close for several months and when I reopened the restrictions made it to where I (we) couldn’t operate as I once had. Many stylist chose to pursue opportunities on their own, and while that was difficult I respected their decision and continued moving forward.

Through it all - I’ve never lost my love and compassion for my salon and the hair industry. I wholeheartedly believed this is where I would retire. Then…..

Last December I experienced a health scare. Thankfully I’m doing well. Doctor encouraged me to reduce stress ( seriously lol?)

Another salon owner reached out to ask if I would consider selling the building. After much thought on how much I’ve sacrificed - countless family events, school and sport functions, holiday events, birthday events etc (so many special moments) Because I was committed to my business/clients. I DONT regret the hard work I’ve put into the business because it brought me where I am today. A very Successful award winning salon 🤗 I’m incredibly proud of everything I’ve build especially the bonds I have with my clientele.

With that being said I’ve decided to clarify rumors. Yes I plan on sell the building BUT * IM* NOTTTTT* RETIRING!!!!!!!!!!!
Again - I am NOT retiring !!
And have no plans to anytime in the near future. I still love what I do and have many years ahead of me to do what I’m most passionate about.

While I will not be working at this location as of Oct 1

I will absolutely continue doing hair and will advise you of my new location once it is established.
I will be simplifying my business, but my commitment and craft to my clients remain the same. I look forward to continuing to provide the same care, and experience you’ve trusted me with over the years. And for many more to come.

Finally I want to say thank you to every single person who has given me your continued support after all these years and hope that you will continue with me on this new journey.

And a shout out to my past and present stylist (hugs)

ATT fixed our phone line and internet. Apparently a hand full of people were affected on west side with this issue. Somehow we were “missed to be turn back on after an outage”
I know this was super inconvenient, and I appreciate those who were patient.
I guess on a good note I’ll credited for a week of this inconvenience
