We are working towards a natural dimensional blonde.
She was all over black about a year and a half ago. Then she was coloring her hair red until about 6 months ago. She started letting it grow out and fade. And then she did some color Remover at home.. when I saw her in September, her hair was yellow and white and pink and orange. We blinded her to a similar color. And then today she came for her retouch and we love the blend! We’re hoping that at her next appointment we won’t have to add any dark dimension and we’ll be able to just rely on her natural between the highlights for enough dimension.

This sweet client was scheduled for just a haircut today. When I finished her haircut she had a question about color because she was going to have to color it herself. The appointment after her had to reschedule so I surprised her and offered to do it for free. She has been talking about going red for over a year now and she works 3 jobs but life is busy and hard and it just never worked out for me to be able to do it. Anyway we are in love with this color on her and our hearts are full.

If you’d like to donate anything on this list to the coach’s kids food drive, you can take it directly to the school if you know a kid at Hudson to put it under their name or if you wanna bring it to your next appointment, I can take it to the school for Sebastian’s class.

If anyone would like to donate a meal in a bag or anything else, you’re welcome to bring it to your appointment, and I will drop it off for you!

💛 Owasso Food Banks Need Our Support

Owasso’s food banks are working hard to prepare for the upcoming SNAP shutdown — and the need is already growing.

Mendi Burns, Director at Owasso Community Resources, shared, “It’s been a tough week for so many families in our community. We see the worry in their faces and hear it in their voices when they reach out for help.”

Just last week, OCR:
🍎 Served 1,200+ individuals through their Food Assistance Programs
💡 Provided Utility Assistance to 7 households
🎁 Received 70 Holiday Program applications from families needing support

Those numbers are expected to rise. Our neighbors are struggling — and our food banks can’t do this alone.

Your support truly provides help and hope to families in crisis.

I recently saw some “Meal in a Bag” ideas online and asked OCR if they would be helpful. Mendi’s response:

“Those would be wonderful — either for the Free Pantry or for us to use in our Fresh Market when we run out of food before 2pm!”

So here’s the challenge:
Can your group, business, or organization create a few “Meal in a Bag” donations?

📦 Drop them off at the pantry during business hours — or if you’re within 10 miles of OCR, an Owassoisms employee can pick them up and deliver them for you. Just message us!

This is not all you can do.

• Simply grab a little extra next time you shop.

This was shared by Sebastian’s cloverbud club leader today. I gave her what everyone had brought so far. This is the stuff that we are going to send to deployed troops this Christmas.

If anyone still wants to bring something please feel free to bring it by anytime before the end of the month! I will update with what is still needed. I know she said snacks and candy would be great too!

This color correction came together beautifully! She did an amazing job with the bulk of the color removal at home, as she went to cosmetology school and knows her way around a bit of color theory.
She was coloring her hair red the past year and before that it was black.
The red was much more cooperative aside from that pink that it left in the back, but that blorange on the ends was giving us a run for our money.
3 different color applications, a haircut and 5 hours later we were able to achieve this dimensional blonde 😍🤌🏼🥰

My oldest kiddo Sebastian is a clover bud with 4H 🍀

Our club is gathering stocking stuffers for deployed troops till the end of October.
We are looking for things like;
-Travel size shampoo, conditioner, body soap, lotions
-No rinse shampoo/soap/ wipes
-individually wrapped snacks/candy
-Personal care items like nail clippers, tweezers, nail files

Anything that you think would make a good stocking stuffer is welcome!

I just need it by Monday November 3rd.
Let me know if you’d like to bring anything and you can come by anytime to drop off!
