In April, we started a journey to save this gorgeous blonde from severe overlap. Fast forward through 6-week upkeep sessions focused on healing, and we finally achieved her ultimate dream tone—with zero sacrifice to her hair health!
Her full thickness is back, the shine is unreal, and her hair has never been happier. Moments like this remind me why I love what I do so much 💕

STEP 2

We raw lifted her to this bright, vibrant blonde. There’s still a bit of warmth lingering from previous permanent color, but we’re going to gradually work that out over time. Preserving the health and integrity of her hair will always be my highest priority, right alongside making sure she leaves my chair absolutely loving the result!

To finish the look, I went in with a root smudge to blend in some of her natural depth. As a busy mom, this gives her a seamless, low-maintenance grow-out so she can stretch the time between appointments.

Part of my job isn't just applying color—it’s tailoring every service and educating my clients based on their lifestyle, upkeep commitment, and budget. Life is expensive enough as it is, so finding that perfect balance between gorgeous hair and practical maintenance is everything.

This was just session number one. We actually ended up doing another full highlight after this, too! She had previously seen a different stylist who was using permanent color underneath, so we spent a good chunk of our time neutralizing all that warmth.
Major color changes are definitely a process! We’ve been focusing on keeping her hair healthy ever since she got back in my chair, and we were finally able to do a two-step color process to lift out that old lingering color on her ends.
She wanted to stay super bright around her face while bringing back some natural dimension in the front for a seamless blend. Look at this result! ➡️

It’s a question I get asked sometimes, and it is totally fair! If you’ve ever sat in my chair, you already know that your hair is my absolute #1 priority. Because I get so focused on making sure you love your results (and enjoying a great yap session with you all! 🤭🤣), I honestly just forget to take before-and-after pictures before you walk out the door.
That last hour or two of your appointment is filled with the relaxing shampoo, blowout, and styling—which is the best part! By the time we're done, I'm just so excited for you to go show off your new look that the camera is the last thing on my mind. I promise my heart is in the right place, and I am actively working on getting better at capturing my work!

The Reality of the Process ✨
Since coming back after two years, a huge portion of my days has been dedicated to color corrections. Color corrections are a true "trust the process" journey.
I love when clients bring in inspiration photos—even AI-generated ones! They are a fantastic starting point for us to talk about your goals. However, it's also important to remember that those perfect digital images aren't always realistic for every hair type in a single session.
I will never say "yes" to a service just to make a quick buck if I know it will compromise the health and integrity of your hair. Hair is a journey, and when you are in my chair, keeping your hair healthy and beautiful is my top priority!
