🚨⚠️🚨 ATTENTION 🚨⚠️🚨

After a lot of thought, prayer, tears, and some very difficult decisions, I have some big news to share.

I have officially accepted a full-time position, which means I will no longer be working behind the chair. I will also no longer be working at Culture Cuts, and with that, Hair by Mere will officially be closing. I will still be in the beauty industry just in a different way and not behind the chair.
⚠️To my regular clients I will still do hair just on the side and not as frequently, but I will no longer be accepting new clients
AND IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY SCHEDULED I WILL KEEP YOUR APPOINTMENTS ⚠️

This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to put into words. Hair by Mere was never just a business to me. Or a hobby. Or a way to make money. It was something I built from the ground up. It was my creativity, my independence, my livelihood, my outlet, and for a long time, a huge part of who I was. I poured my blood, sweat and tears into my little business, and I will forever be proud of what I created.

To every single person who ever sat in my chair, trusted me with their hair, recommended me to a friend, shared my posts, supported a sale, sent me a kind message, or simply cheered me on from the sidelines—thank you. You helped make this chapter what it was, and I will never take that for granted.

Closing Hair by Mere doesn’t come easy but a choice I’m choosing to give myself permission to grow in a different direction, even when that means letting go of something I worked incredibly hard to build. Sometimes we outgrow the version of ourselves we fought so hard to become. And maybe that’s what this is. I’m walking away from the chair with a full heart, a whole lot of memories, and an even greater appreciation for the people who were part of this journey. And with everything I have, thank you❤️

This chapter may be closing but may the new one bring just as incredible blessings and amazing people as the last one. New chapter loading… ✨

⚠️Long post warning ⚠️

I just want to personally thank everyone for all of the prayers and calls and texts and all of the support. Trey and I have felt all of the love and support from everyone around us and we are so incredibly thankful for everyone. It’s been a terrifying, overwhelming, exhausting and stressful whirlwind of a week.
*For everyone who has been asking what happened:
Trey was flown to Nortons last Friday due to a simple febrile seizure, Covid and rhinovirus. Then later osteomyelitis with a small abscess near his groin. (Also my first time interrogating a medical flight team to ensure Trey would be safe and they had everything to take care of him in the air….this isn’t a surprise if you know me lol so while they rushed Trey in the air his dad and I got to Louisville from owensboro is record time on the ground)
⚠️ I am asking his doctors tomorrow when they think he will be released so I will have a definitive date to reschedule clients but as of right now the date is unknown and we are hopeful it will be Monday or Tuesday ⚠️
