Old pic of when I first started doing brows. Top is after, bottom before. My goal is always to grow the parts of your brows back that are missing. This client was missing some fluffiness on top (this is where your arch comes from) and some hairs in the body of the brow (bottom middle line). Letting hairs grow in here, and doing some subtle highlight and powder fill she has more structure to her brow, her arch is back, and they're more symmetrical.

12 years ago I was working at Walgreens and going to school for massage therapy. My son was under 2, I had just left his father, and I was living with my parents. I met Kaes just before Logan's second birthday. I worked many different massage jobs, independent places to physical therapy, a couple different chains, and even for an out of state college female swim and dive team (that was super fun). It was hard trying to fit in so many massage hours to pay for life! I decided to enroll for cardiac sonography, determined that even though I couldn't do math, I WOULD figure it out (spoiler alert, I didn't). Then I thought maybe nursing would be better, I could do things like Botox! I truly was in that just for the money. Actually it's a hilarious story of why I didn't end up in nursing-I'll save for another time. It involves a life changing fart and going vegetarian hahahhaa!
I always knew I wanted to do brows, and for a while I thought, maybe I'll learn permanent makeup. I'm very glad I didn't. Not because I think it's bad, I just ..tattooing someone's face is too much pressure for me. And to think- in nursing I would have had peoples lives in my hands. Hah! Man did I make the right call.
From massage to esthetics, my joy has always been making people feel good in their bodies and their spirit. Shining a light to bring back peoples confidence, listening to their stories as a safe space without judgement, and connecting deeply. I really am just reflecting on all the chaos it took for me to get to this point, and sharing just a piece of that story with you.
For those who have been with me from the beginning, thank you. Thank you for watching me grow and for growing with me. For new people and those I haven't met yet that might choose me as their service provider in the future, thank you for trusting me and for taking care of yourself too. Self love is a gift to the world and my hope is to radiate it out with every person I touch.

And now my hair is copper red. But it's been bright red, strawberry blonde, almost black, purple, and magenta in between-oh, I also had dark green when I started Opal & Sage!! Various shades of blue was *always* my favorite though. Should I find pictures of other colors/styles throughout the years?!
