To all our clients Thank You for being patient, supportive, and kind as we all have worked hard for the last three weeks to get almost 11weeks of appointments rescheduled. If you haven’t heard from us and are ready to come back please text your stylist or use our online booking system. You can access the system through our Facebook or google page. You can always leave a message as well but give us some time to respond as we are not answering the salon number. When you arrive for your appointment please text your stylist upon arrival or wait outside and we will wave you in.

At the last minute the state has delayed the opening of Hair Salons. We were prepared to open with all precautions in place and almost all of our clients rescheduled who had previous appointments. June 1st is now the new opening day if that holds. Most appointments will need to be moved out two weeks this all depends on when your stylist was scheduled to start. If your appointment was affected you will be contacted by your stylist.

Dear Clients,

Velvet Hair Salon will be reopening on May 20th at limited capacity. As of Monday May 4th we will begin to reschedule appointments. Only four stylists will be working at a time. We have added more time for every service to allow for sanitation and provide you with the highest service quality.

All Stylists will be wearing masks and we encourage you to wear a mask or face covering. When you arrive you should wait in your car or six feet apart at the entrance outside the salon. Once the previous client leaves and sanitation is complete your stylist will text or wave you in.

Once you enter we will do a temperature check with a touchless thermometer. If you have a cough or fever we need you to cancel your appointment or risk being denied service. Stylist and client will wash their hands before being seated. At this time we will not be allowing guests to accompany clients. This includes children, spouses, siblings, and friends. No magazines or beverages will be supplied. Your stylist will guide you through the checkout process and schedule your next appointment.

It will be a different experience but the health of our clients, staff, and families is of the utmost importance. We never want to go through this again and by establishing these guidelines it will help in the long term fight against Covid-19.

Please have patience with us as we reschedule all clients. We can’t wait to have you back in our chair and to create some fresh looks.

Dear Clients,

It has now been over two weeks since the salon was ordered to close. At this point we have no return date. Once the Health Department allows the salon to open we will.
Upon return we will keep implementing current guidelines about social distance between clients. We will allow only a limited number of stylists and clients in the salon at once.
At Velvet cleanliness has always been apart of our culture and will continue to be a major priority. In between clients we will be disinfecting stylist stations and chairs. Common surfaces will be routinely disinfected.
The checkout process will be streamlined. To allow less contact at checkout we will be allowing clients to keep a credit card on file. We will still continue to accept all forms of payment.


We miss you all and can’t wait to have you back in our chairs.

Goodmorning! We miss all of you and hope everyone is staying well during this uncertain time! We too are struggling at home trying to stay busy. And believe us when we say, we got some roots (and some grays🙄) going on! Be patient, and trust in us that we will make you and your hair feel amazing again once this is over! Now stand proud with all of us, we are in this together! 😍

As the day goes on and cancellations continue to come in, we have made the hard decision that as of this evening, we will be CLOSED UNTIL APRIL 7TH. If we can get back sooner we will! The health of our clients and staff always comes first and even with our constant disinfecting we feel this is best at this time.
