Another very overdue love letter to the newest and most valuable addition to our yearly Katsucon hotel room crew - the incomparable . Sav is an incredible artist in makeup, hair, photography, and design. They were kind enough to allow me to commission them to design and apply my makeup looks for Maleficent and Elphaba, and were generous enough to help with my eye makeup for our Saturday night Sailor Scout Burlesque group. From 4am wakeups, three days of green, chauffeuring to and from the National Cathedral in insane wind and cold and hotel room floor naps, Sav is the biggest trooper with the kindest heart. We cried so many times over the weekend just talking about how hard life has been and how loved we felt being all together.

Katsucon 2025 was truly one for the ages. Thank you Sav. Thank you for making it the best year yet. I owe you everything. 🥹💚💜

Katsucon 2025…here is the first of three very sappy posts as I look back and process the last 5 days. Buckle up for the first of two love letters to the best roommates a girl could have ever asked for.

…where to even begin. We first became friends in 2018 when she found me on Etsy and commissioned a Belle wig. As we discussed her design preferences, it quickly became apparent that we were to become fast friends. Now we’ve just finished our fourth Katsucon together and it was by far the best one yet. I can’t explain how grateful I am to have such a kind, caring, supportive person in my corner. I adore you with everything I have, Megan. Let’s do it all again next year. 🥹💜
