This was a reset day. The ins and outs of what our days look like outside of the salon. Of lately I’ve been dedicating more time at the salon preparing for the expansion or prepping bulk virgin hair for upcoming k-tips applications.
It can be so easy to do another thing on my to-do list. However, this day I carved out some much needed time to better support my body behind the chair.

Part 2 of creating pearl bonds, starts with beautiful shiny bond keratin strips.
There’s no hot glue mixed in but pure
This allows for quality control and consistency with my application. Depending on your current hair color, I’m able to color match for a less detectable extension whichever way you decide to style your curls.

Prepping curly k-tips. Utilizing hackle for your donor ponytails and proper placement within the drawling card.
Excuse my less than attractive RBF when I’m concentrating. These bundles of hair are curly, however for accuracy and minimizing hair that may become disagreed, I smooth out my ponytails to ensure they’re properly encapsulated.
This is an extremely tedious process, yes when I mean I’m pinching a few hairs at a time.
Cry now laugh later is the name of the game. Nothing worse when trying to find shortcuts, to that hair being dollars down the drain because they weren’t aligned when bonding the hair. This is also sped up to 2x for transparency online.

Let’s talk about different extension methods. I firmly believe different strokes for different folks. When applied correctly other methods don’t cause damage. Depending on each guests needs and goals, the stylist can determine which method or combination to create your flawless look.
Shown below the blonde extensions were two rows of weft extensions for her wedding look. The auburn brown extensions were a full head of micro and nano k-tips.
