š¢ Quick Reminder to My Clients š¢
I will never intentionally no-show an appointment.
If you are expecting me (or a member of my team) and have not heard from us, please, please, please reach out! We've had two appointments this week mysteriously disappear from our schedule, and we're trying to figure out what happened.
I'm not sure if it was related to a system update, a scheduling glitch, or something else, but I never want anyone sitting at home wondering where we are.
If you have an appointment scheduled and don't receive your normal text reminders, confirmations, or if anything seems off, don't hesitate to call or text. I'd much rather double-check than have anyone miss the care their pets need.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding! ā¤ļøš¾

A friendly reminder from an RVT:
Please be careful who you're taking pet health advice from.
Just because someone has owned animals their whole life, worked at a veterinary clinic, volunteers with rescues, or knows someone whose pet had a similar issue does not mean they have the education, training, or complete information needed to give accurate medical advice.
The same goes for Google searches and AI programs. They can be incredibly useful tools for learning and gathering information, but unless you provide every little specific detailāand many times you may not even know which details are importantāthey may not give you the correct answer. In veterinary medicine, sometimes just one small piece of information can completely change the diagnosis, treatment plan, urgency of care, or outcome.
Unfortunately, I see far too many situations where well-meaning people give medical advice online without knowing the full story, and it can delay proper care or even put pets at risk.
If you have concerns about your pet, please reach out to your veterinarian or a licensed veterinary professional. Ask the people who have the education, training, and ability to evaluate the entire pictureānot just a friend, neighbor, social media comment section, Google search, or AI response.
That being said, don't be afraid to ask questionsāeven when speaking with licensed professionals. We are human, and humans make mistakes. If something doesn't make sense, if your gut tells you something isn't adding up, or if you simply want to understand better, ask questions. A good veterinary professional should be willing to explain their thought process and help you understand your pet's care.
Your pet deserves advice based on a complete assessment, open communication, and informed decision-makingānot assumptions or incomplete information.

But how adorable is this pup?! ā¤ļø He was clearly very interested in learning about the business while I was performing services today. From supervising every move to making sure quality control standards were met, he took his job very seriously!
I think he may be ready to submit an application for an apprentice position at Perfect Paws by Heather the RVT. š

Hey everyone š
I just wanted to say thank you all so much for always being so understanding and flexible with appointments. I truly appreciate every single one of you.
With how expensive gas has gotten lately, Iāve been feeling the strain a little more than usual trying to keep up with all the driving and fill-ups. Because of that, you may notice me asking a little more often about switching appointment dates or times so I can better group my schedule together when possible.
Please never feel pressured if you canāt switch ā I completely understand! And please donāt think Iāve forgotten your schedule if I ask more than once. I do my best to keep everything organized, but sometimes it gets a little hard keeping track of everyoneās availability.
Iām working really hard to avoid raising my prices despite the increase in gas costs, and your patience, kindness, and flexibility truly mean so much to me. Thank you all again for supporting me and my small business ā¤ļø

Hey everyone! I have a client who could really use some extra ideas. Iāve already given her quite a bit of guidance, but I thought it would be fun (and helpful) to open this up and see what has worked for others.
How do you get your dog to take medication when they really donāt want to?
What tricks, foods, or techniques have worked for you in the past? Always looking for new ideas to help make things less stressful for both pets and owners!

This last week or so has been a heavy one for my heart and many families. š
Weāve said goodbye to Seven dogsāseven beloved family members who meant the world to their people.
I only have photos of five, but each and every one of them mattered deeply. āupdated!
One of the things I donāt talk about enough is the relationships that are built along the way.
These arenāt just appointments⦠these are pets Iāve seen grow, age, struggle, and be loved so deeply.
Being invited into your homesāespecially during some of the hardest momentsāis something I never take lightly.
Itās incredibly sad. Thereās no way around that.
But at the same time, I feel honored to be someone you trust to be there, to support you, help guide you and to help in whatever way I can during those difficult transitions.
To all of the families who had to say goodbye this weekā
I am so sorry for your loss. Your dogs were truly loved, and that love was so evident in every moment I saw. ā¤ļø
