More often than not, I’m doing a little custom coloring to your extensions.

Matching your extensions to your current hair color or using the extensions to help create the color you want, is all part of creating that seamless blend.

Your extensions don’t have to be an exact match right out of the box. Sometimes a little customization is what makes them look like they’re actually growing from your head.

How long do K-tips actually last?

The honest answer? It depends on your hair.

K-tips are a low-maintenance extension method with no traditional move-ups, but how long an application looks and feels its best is largely determined by how quickly your natural hair grows and sheds.

For some clients, an application may be ready to come out around 2 months. For others, they may comfortably get 4–5 months from the same application.

Things like your natural growth rate, shedding cycle, hair texture, density, and how your extensions are cared for all play a role.

And unfortunately, I can’t tell you exactly where you’ll fall before we’ve experienced your first application together. It usually takes one or two appointments for us to learn how your hair responds and establish your personal maintenance timeline.

And honestly? I think that’s worth it.

Because instead of scheduling unnecessary move-ups just because the calendar says it’s time, K-tips allow us to let your hair, not a predetermined schedule, tell us when it’s time for a fresh application.
