CASCARILLA PROTECTION POWDER
I save my eggshells instead of tossing them. There’s something about them… they’ve already done their job, already held life, and that kind of energy doesn’t just disappear. It’s protective by nature.
First thing, rinse them really well. Get that inner lining out too that thin little film inside. It’ll mess with the smell if you leave it, and honestly, I like my work clean, not halfway done.
Once they’re clean, I let them dry or I’ll speed it up and put them in the oven. Low heat, nothing crazy just enough to dry them out completely. While they’re in there, I usually take a second and set the intention. Nothing fancy, just something like, only what protects stays, everything else burns off.
After they cool, I grind them down. Mortar and pestle if I’m feeling connected, or a grinder if I’m in a hurry. Either way, I don’t rush the moment. This is where you push your intention into it protection, boundaries, keeping your space yours.
You can leave it just like that, and it’s already strong. If I feel like it needs a little more weight, I’ll add a pinch of salt or crushed bay leaf. Not a lot you don’t want to drown out the eggshell. It’s the backbone.
When it’s done, I keep it in a small jar. Simple. Nothing overcomplicated.
I use it across doorways, windowsills, sometimes I dust it on candles before I light them. If something feels off, I’ll sprinkle a little where I need to draw a line. It’s not loud magic it’s steady. It holds.
That’s the thing about eggshell powder… it doesn’t just protect, it remembers how to.

Tired of waisting lemons and limes??? Baking soda is your friend!
Soak your lemons/limes for 15 min in water and baking soda. About 2 tsp per gallon I just eyeball it. This will kill the bad bacteria on the outside that makes them go bad.
Rinse them throughly and place in a mason jar or something similar and fill the jar to the top with water you can use tap I prefer filtered.
Put a lid on it and put it in the fridge.
Boom they will last months this way. The outside may become a bit soft but that’s no concern the lemon juice and rind is still perfectly delicious and damn does that water start to smell amazing after a month!
