The bid for the Iconic Leg Lamp from the shop has hit $700! I cant believe it and yet I believe we can do more!

For a great cause, Alaska's Healing Hearts. A non profit that takes care of our Warriors and their families. Often through healng people n the outdoors. The Warrior Lodge in Sutton, The Island of Hope and Healing(Lake Louise)and operation Winter Warrior (firewood ,clothing, heating needs)are just a few of the things they do!

The dollars raised will help with needs such as a wood storage replaced from the windstorm or to help someone with storm damage. There are so many great things they do in our community. Below is a link to check them out.

📣 An Important Announcement From AK Lady Barber

Seven years ago, I set out with a mission: to elevate men’s grooming in Alaska and help our community look and feel their best. Because of your trust, AK Lady Barber became more than a barbershop — it became a place where friendships grew, stories were shared, and “Keeping Alaska Handsome” became something we lived every day.

This past year brought a new challenge as I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. As I navigate this new season of life and reflect on my purpose and future, I have made the very difficult decision to retire at the end of 2025.

But here’s the good news — Palmer will continue to have a great barbershop.

On January 2nd, the shop will reopen with a new name and new ownership, but the same familiar barbers who have taken care of you over the years. The team will continue offering the exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere you’ve come to expect.

Thank you — truly — for supporting me, my family, and this dream. This community has brought me joy, strength, and purpose, and I am forever grateful.

We are currently seeking at least three individuals who want to bring their skills and care for the community. This community is loyal and will take great care of you and your family. We are a six chair shop of men and women barbers. When completely staffed we see at least 75 people a day. This shop is different. We built business that is traditional service with modern style. Finding barbers with this training and mindset is difficult. We are so blessed to have the business that we do. It is hard to turn customers away, knowing that if we could find skilled barbers, we wouldn't have to.
