What happens when AI systems become more capable faster than we can understand how they behave? As AI agents begin working together, improving other AI systems, and taking on more autonomous roles, safety questions become harder to answer. Who should evaluate these systems? AI became a little more approachable! Our recent AI Playground for Everyone with Mo-Yun Lei Fong brought AI to life through practical, creative, and hands-on activities. We explored everything from turning simple drawings into imaginative creations to working with photos, planning trips, writing messages, and more.

With attendees ranging in age from 5 to 89, it was a great reminder that you don’t need a technical background to experiment with AI, learn something new, and have fun along the way.

The future rarely arrives all at once. It shows up in small signals that are easy to miss. At our recent Fast Futures: Foresight for Beginners session, Ben Gansky and Rod Falcon from Institute for the Future (IFTF) showed us how to pay closer attention to those signals, challenge the assumptions we make about what comes next, and think beyond the changes already happening around us.

In an interactive session at The Hub, we explored practical foresight tools to help us consider different possibilities and prepare for a future that may look very different from today.

It was great to see so many bicyclists start their day with us at The Hub at Stanford Research Park at our latest Breakfast for Bicyclists!

We enjoyed a morning of coffee, delicious hot breakfast, and conversation with colleagues and friends who choose to commute by bike.
