ON TODAY’S FUN FACTS WITH YOUR MASSAGE THERAPIST…SCIATICA!

LET’S TALK SCIATICA!
That giant beautiful nerve? Yep… the sciatic nerve is the LONGEST and LARGEST nerve in the body. And when it gets angry, you KNOW it. 😅

Sciatica is that pain that can shoot from your low back, through your b***y, and down your leg. So when your massage therapist says, “I need to work your glutes,” I promise we’re not weird, there’s a method to the madness. 😂
There are actual muscles (looking at you Piriformis 👀) that can tighten up and put pressure on that nerve.

Think about your daily life:
🚗 Driving all day
💻 Sitting at a desk
👶 Carrying kids on one hip
👜 Heavy purse
👮🏽‍♂️ Duty belt
🚶🏽Standing/walking constantly

Your body adapts to patterns… and sometimes those patterns make your sciatic nerve throw a full tantrum.

The good news? Massage can help release those muscles and relieve pressure because EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED. Science is cool. Your bo**ie matters. 🍑
