I have officially closed my salon as of yesterday. After a few shed tears shared between myself and my sweet clients these past few weeks, I am no longer a salon owner. My two ninth graders are already doing better with their studies with just the cutting back that I have made this month. I’m sure I will see some of you around. And I will miss you all. After almost 30 years of doing a career that I have loved, I have decided to retire. I have too much on my plate any more to continue with it.
It has been a great career. I have met many people over the years. Made many friends. Some of you have become family to me. I will miss seeing you in my chair, but more than that, I will miss all the conversations. I have watched a lot of you grow up and have little ones of your own. And some having grandkids of your own.
This has been a hard decision, but I think it is best. I hope you will find a salon family that will love you and be as grateful for you as I have been. Thank you all for supporting me in my career all these years and for making me love my job and feeling loved by you.
I will be closing my salon by the end of April. Y’all all will be greatly missed.

Thank you all for the prayers and kind words for my family last week. We lay my brother to rest yesterday. He will be missed by many. And thank you all for bearing with me these last few weeks for having to cancel on your appointments. I am back in the salon as of today. If I haven’t called you and rescheduled you yet, let me know and we will get you booked. 

Thank you all for the prayers for my brother. We lost him this morning. He fought that cancer for many years. He’s not hurting any more. Flying high with the angels. Please pray for our family during this time.

This morning I had the honor of doing this precious lady’s hair one last time. She has always had a special place in my heart. I’ve done her hair for most of my career. She will be greatly missed. RIP Mrs. Shirley. Prayers for comfort for your dear family.

Could everyone please say a prayer for my brother Jerry Grooms? He is fighting a battle with brain cancer. He needs all the prayers that he can get right now. He has had a stroke and can’t hardly talk now and doesnt want anymore surgeries. He’s told the doctor he doesnt want on any life support or even a feeding tube. He has had a rough time especially for this last week. We all love you Jerry. Don’t give up. You’ve fought this for about 15 years now. You can still fight.
