Behind the Chair: Real Talk & Color Corrections 💇‍♀️✨

As stylists, we love sharing the flawless “afters,” but the reality is that mistakes happen. What truly defines us is what we do in those next moments.

My client came in wanting a rich, warm chocolate brown, but because her base had strong copper undertones, the custom formula pulled much cooler and turned out plum instead. It wasn't what she asked for, and I knew I needed to make it right.

I sat down with her, listened carefully to what wasn't working, reviewed her inspo photos again, and mapped out a clear game plan. Was I nervous? Absolutely! But I trusted my training, pulled out the color wheel, and formulated using opposing tones to counteract the unwanted plum tones.

I am so grateful for amazing clients who trust the process and give us the opportunity to turn things around. We are officially back on track toward her dream chocolate shade, and she walked out feeling beautiful! 🤎✨
