Its Always Summer

A blurb in my stories from Hosea 2:14-15 … a message of love and reconciliation back to the Lord ❤️

If I’ve taken only this thought, from my time with The Lord this morning, it’s truly all my heart and soul needs right now. A couple months ago, a friend suggested a book called “Becoming a Woman of Strength” - typically I wouldn’t just go buy a book that someone recommends (I ain’t tryin to add more to-do’s to my list! 😆). But I felt the nudge and encouragement of the Holy Spirit to be curious about this one.

Today’s reading led me to Jeremiah 42 but in the process of tuning pages I stopped at Jeremiah 31 captivated by my note on 4.4.25 that read “NEW HOPE” in black letters with neon green highlighter outlining the very words I needed today.

The desert season for me has felt long and deeply painful …. Wondering how to find me again, trust again, believe for good again …. There are so many things from 31 that are penetrating my heart …. Listen to these and grab ahold of as many as you need. I pray they speak to the areas of your longings and sweetly soothe the ache of your soul ❤️

Jeremiah 31….

2: … find favor in the desert
3: … I have loved you with an everlasting love
4: … I will build you up again… again you will take up your tambourines dance and be joyful
5: … again you will plant vineyards (this one hits for me)
7: … sing with joy… make your praises heard
9: … I will lead them beside streams of water on level paths where they won’t stumble
13: … I will turn their mourning into gladness and give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow ❤️

My prayer this morning… Lord, thank you for never being far. Thank you for your patience with me. I don’t always release my burdens to you, but when I do, your love never disappoints. You meet me right where I am, when all the “what ifs, and I cants” start to pile on top of me and the load feels too heavy to handle and the spiral of thoughts and fears stir into this bowl of uncertainty…. You come to my rescue and fill me with unexplainable peace, and you remind me that there is joy in your strength.

Thank you Jesus for your example of taking your suffering to surrender, and teaching me that it’s not about “giving up”, rather, it’s about “giving over”. ❤️🕊️

Identity 🔥

A word often used when studying ourselves and working towards our unique healing and growth journeys. Its powerful because it gives language to who we are and what we were created to do on this earth.

This morning I’m studying Gods identity… His fingerprints are all around us 😱❤️ One of my favorites are the clouds… I could watch them float along the sky for hours, pondering their shapes and getting curious about where they’re going. They fill me with an internal calm … especially the wildly powerful thunder clouds. Seems strange but it’s not. It’s quite connective… because God is the only one who can calm the raging storm - Luke 8:24 … HE GOT UP AND REBUKED THE WIND AND THE RAGING WATERS; THE STORM SUBSIDED, AND ALL WAS CALM 🙌🏼🤍☁️

My prayer this morning is to invite him in as I reflect on his fingerprints, HIS CALM, and HIS IDENTITY, so that in turn, my eyes can see more clearly who I am with him 🤍
