When you have lived your life in the Midst of Powerful, Gracious, Spirit-filled Leaders it can become your accepted Normal. When you have the opportunity to travel First Class every year to another country, continent or culture, it can easily become your sense of familar. And through it all God brings me to moments where I experience an unquestionable WAVE of Gratitude - Sometimes it is a new realization/awakening - A revelation/understanding - An awe-inspiring appreciation!

Every NSD cruise is a charted ship. Just for us .. no other passengers. Eight restaurants where we are hugging on everyone in them because we have forged together - come up the ranks together! We built this company together. Newer National Sales Directors are brought into the fold and immersed into the family DNA! Might sound corny.. It may sound like I'm doing a commercial or this is a promotional facebook post. But in all actuality, I have had a little over a year to stand back as a retired Emeriti and observe in awe why it is that Mary Kay Ash was able to grow from 9 women to Millions!

She understood the power and the potency of Deep connections and Authentic relationships! 👯‍♀️🥰

Leadership in direct sales is a different kind of animal. When you do it right, the amount of Life Changing Impact, Success and Abundance is staggering !!! When you do it wrong - it feels like a polyester suit on a used car lot! Authentic can't be faked and there is no substitute for it that will stand the test of time. ❤️

Sustainability is built upon TRUST! And Trust only happens when you Love the people you have been untrusted with! John Maxwell said, " You can love people and not lead them, but you can't Lead people .. (to value themselves more and enter into, and deepen their relationship with the Lord. 🙌 To expand the vision of their future and to learn how to connect with "What" they ardently want to achieve and "Who" they want to become in the process. It is absolutely necessary to become "other's focused" and genuinely believe in the potential that lies just under the surface of everyone's fears. To learn how to rally a movement based on the ability to inspire hearts and ignite dreams and influence from the core of wanting to bring out the God Infused Magnificence that exists in every single person's DNA) without Loving them." -- I kinda hijacked the middle part of that quote 😬🤩

Leadership in Mary Kay is not about GETTING women to do what we want them to do - Leadership is unlocking and directing them on the path of what THEY want to do. And to be able - to - do - that - ya gotta wanna learn enough about them to figure out the desires of their heart🩷. ..It requires time invested and emotional vulnerability.. Can you get hurt in the process? Yes.. Can you get let down or blamed when things don't go their way? Yup...Is it possible to believe in others more than they believe in themselves ???? Most definately.. But here's the ultimate benefit when we recognize that HUGE AMBITION and HEARTFELT LEADERSHIP are not mutually exclusive ... Other people's success is not your source.. AND their individual results are not the Evidence of the Quality of your Leadership - The true REWARD is that YOU have been assigned to BELIEVE in who God intended them to be. You are to equip them with what they need - help them to Master what is necessary ..and do it in such a way that the fuel of your efforts reveals the potency of your purpose!

Women of all ages, backgrounds and cultures NEED and Deserve the spirit of leadership and influence that we are immersed in. We have a world wide Mission!

Those who recognize the anointing, walk with you forever.. in or out of the company. How we do what we do is not meant to be contained. It is meant for Overflow! Mary Kay taught us to teach others how to lead themselves powerfully - with or without your physical presence, they will continue to carry a piece of your heart with them 💕 That is called Spiritual Entanglement!

And the world thinks that she just taught us how to sell lipstick 😍
