We spent Friday training with to review treatment with products
At one point she joked that some people have told her she comes across as mean. We had never heard that before, and after spending the day with her, we definitely didn’t see it. What we saw was someone who is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about her craft, and willing to share the little details that only come from years of experience.
We learned several new techniques, had great discussions about ptosis surgery, and gained a better understanding of how procedures like cataract surgery can sometimes contribute to eyelid drooping later on.
The patients left looking refreshed and natural. This patient was one of my favorites. Before treatment, the lower face carried more visual weight. By restoring support and balance to the upper face, we were able to create a more youthful facial shape where the upper face once again became the widest point of the face.
One of the things I love most about medicine is that there is always more to learn. Grateful for mentors who are willing to share their knowledge and experience.

Even though we officially opened our doors in September 2025, we finally got to celebrate our long overdue ribbon cutting with the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce on May 14, and it was truly worth the wait.
A heartfelt thank you to Marty Maloney, the team, and every friend and local business who stopped by to support us. We’re so grateful for every person who has trusted us with their skin, their confidence, and their care. This space was created for you, and being part of the Park Ridge community already feels incredibly special.

Before I was helping women feel beautiful and confident, I was just a little girl wrapped up in my mom’s arms. 🤍
Recently, a patient told me she was curious about my mom because she wanted to know what kind of woman would shape someone like me. I thought that was such an insightful thing to say.
The older I get, the more I realize how much of who we are is reflected from the people who loved us first.
Happy Mother’s Day to the women who make everyone around them feel safe, loved, and cared for.
There is some evidence that facial movement can influence how strongly we feel certain emotions.
So yes, softening a frown may slightly soften feelings like anger.
For some people, that actually feels like a benefit and plays into their decision.
But that is very different from losing empathy or the ability to connect with others.
Most of my patients, including therapists and very emotionally aware people, don’t feel like their emotions are blunted.

It’s all about balance and layers.
We dissolved lip filler to reset her foundation, then used CaHA to create a more sculpted, streamlined jawline.
Less in the lips, more structure below = everything working together.
Not every color change is a complication.
This patient naturally has areas of hypopigmentation in her lip. After filler, she developed a bruise that made her upper lip look even lighter in certain spots… which at first glance could raise concern for vascular compromise.
But context matters.
She had no pain, no livedo pattern, no delayed capillary refill… none of the clinical signs that would point to a vascular occlusion. So instead of reacting out of fear and dissolving prematurely, we monitored closely.
She healed beautifully.
This is why experience matters. Knowing when to act is important… but knowing when not to act is just as critical.
