Hello High Stakes family!

We wanted to update you on our situation. Starting next week we will be back open regular hours. Please bear with us as our third barber Shayan has moved on...again. So we will be looking for another skilled barber to replace him...again.

I hope you're spending time with your loved ones during this unprecedented hardship we're all facing. We know how important routine and normalcy means at a time like this so we hope that we can provide at least a little bit of that in your life. We know our shop schedule has been chaotic. We have been struggling with childcare since our kids school unfortunately didn't make it in the fire. But we are determined to get us all back on track and looking great!

Check the website for our schedule and feel free to contact us if you cant find the time you're looking for, we will do our best to accommodate you.

For now thank you so much for your patience. You are the community that we love. Be strong for yourselves, be strong for your loved ones and don't forget we all deserve self care.

We still don't have power and the shop is still affected by smoke damage. Originally SCE said our power would be restored on the 16th but now it's TBD. Please let us know if theres any working barbershops in the area that have space available for rent temporarily. Thanks for any help.

 

We tried to get up to the shop but now all of Allen is blocked off from Washington. Not sure when we're going to get in there but according to the deputy they're working on utilities right now so hopefully we'll be back this coming week. We will keep you posted. Thank you for your patience as we try to figure out this whole thing.

Hello friends!

I'm not going to ask how you're doing because I know how you're doing and I'm right there with you. The unimaginable has happened. Some of us have lost some, some of us have lost everything. Some of us are angry, scared, confused, sad or some us have made peace with is happening. It's all valid. Its all understandable. I have lived in LA County for about 10 years now and I have seen a few fires but nothing as damaging and as close to home as this.
Fortunately, for our little shop, we are still standing. I know a lot you were not so fortunate. Im heart broken for you. For all of us in Altadena. Even though I dont live in Altadena, I work here and most of you know that I'm here more than I am at home. We love Altadena and we love it because the people are amazing and welcoming and kind. And even after this fire Altadena will still be amazing because the people here make it the community that it is.
High Stakes Barbershop is still here. We're out of power right now and we don't know when we will really be back up and running but as it stands we're shooting for Monday Jan. 13th. Hopefully our doors will be open. I'm sorry to those of you who I've had to cancel due to the fire. Believe me I know we need some normalcy and routine now more than ever. We will do our best to get you guys back in here and cleaned up and ready to persevere. Because that's what people do in Altadena. You come together and live and fight the odds together.
