People didn’t always understand her nor see past her guarded walls, but she was safest that way.
Beneath her fierce countenance and fiery spirit, she protected a passionate heart and deep soul..
But she wasn’t for everyone and she only showed her truth to those who deserved her..
And those few people she held close.
To the rest of the world, she was a indomitable warrior that conquered her days and charged into her nights.
They marveled at this bravest of women..because they never saw her truth she guarded so closely:
She fought for that scared little girl who was afraid of the flames..
She became the fire that she walked through..
The most beautiful and brightest fire of all:
The one who had promised herself to never give up.
She kept her promise to that little girl so long ago.
One day, one dream, one happiness at a time.
