here’s a little story about my “new” shears💗
•
These are my grandfathers shears he bought himself after finishing hair school in 1957! Growing up i’ve always loved getting to hear his stories from hair school, and what it was like doing hair thought the years. Now that i’ve started my own hair journey and have been in his shoes, it feels so surreal to be given his shears and hold the experiences and history they carry with them in my hands.

By using a combination of two of my favorite blonding techniques I was able to create the overall lightness achieved from traditional highlights, while still having an softer grow out from being feathered into the root like balayage.
