Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a holistic health care treatment that involves injecting concentrated platelets into injured areas. The platelets release growth factors and other biologically active factors that help repair tissue. Studies show that PRP therapy speeds up healing, reduces pain, and even promotes hair growth.

The EmCyte kits produce PRP using a dual centrifugation method, while the other PRP kits rely on a gel separator to stratify blood elements within a single centrifuge spin.

It is important to note, not all PRP is equal. Our PRP provides between 7 and 21 billion platelets in a 7mL treatment sample. This is up to 2 billion higher than the minimum required treatment amount. High volumes of deliverable platelets enhances the volumetric activity of platelet growth factors and cytokines. Platelet alpha granules contain various platelet growth factors that can promote tissue repair along with platelet cytokines that can provide the chemical stimulus needed to attract and direct regenerative cells to injured tissue. Deliverable platelet count is the most important measure of the power of the PRP biologic.

When using our micro-needling device, this causes trauma to the tissue allowing PRP to heal and tighten the dermis. We recommend3 treatments spaced 1 month apart with a maintenance dose the following year. 👌
