Today we celebrate the 5 year anniversary of opening our doors at Tanner City Barbershop. We are so grateful to all who make up our TCB family. We have listened to your stories and shared our own, watched your kids grow up, participated in some great community events, won a couple of cool awards, supported a few barbers getting licensed and even worked through a pandemic. Thank you to you all. Here's to the next 5 🥂💈!

We wanted to make you aware that some of our Barber' phone service and our shop phone have been impacted by the TMobile outage. We may not be receiving your texts or calls.

We have been working hard to keep everyone safe and meet all required guidelines.

The big day is tomorrow! We are very excited after many long weeks to be able to get back to business. Our barbers have missed being able to do what they love and have missed their loyal Tanner City Barbershop family.

While we are very happy to resume operations there will be several changes that we would like to make you aware of to ensure the safety of all. Please be reassured that we will be adhering to all government guidelines with respect to our industry. While we have all heard many different views and opinions on the restrictions and responses to the plans for the reopening of Massachusetts we are taking all safety precautions extremely serious and we ask for your continued support in helping us out by adhering to the below expectations. We have made a commitment of both time and finances to be ready to serve you.

• You MUST have an appointment to enter the shop
• You MUST remain outside of the shop until the time of your scheduled appointment, our waiting area will be closed until further notice
• You MUST wear a mask at all times while in the shop
• You MUST wash your hands upon entering and leaving the shop
• You MUST complete a sign in log upon entering the shop
• Only persons with scheduled appointments may enter the shop, please do not bring additional people with you or stop by to visit
• Please do not bring bags, backpacks or other personal belongings into the shop
• Please do not bring food or drink into the shop
• If you are sick please stay home
• If you have been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with or displays symptoms of COVID-19 please stay home
• When not in the chair please maintain a distance of 6" from our barbers and other clients
• When possible please consider using Apple Pay or Venmo if paying with cash please plan to have exact amounts
• At the time we are allowed to cut hair only no beards

To keep you safe we will:
• Ensure that each client receive a clean cape, no capes will be reused without laundering
• Wear protective coverings including masks, gloves, protective eyewear, and smocks or aprons that will be changed between clients
• We will space out appointments to allow time to disinfect our stations and equipment between every client
• We will disinfect all touch surfaces in the shop throughout the day
• We will cancel appointments of one of our Barbers becomes sick
• We will deep clean the shop on a regular basis and close the shop for additional deep cleaning in the event of an exposure to COVID-19

We have always made every effort for Tanner City Barbershop to be a fun and family friendly environment where we have welcomed socialization and made great friendships. Unfortunately during this time we ask that you do not linger or socialize in the shop. Please be kind to our Barbers and help us out by adhering to these requests as they will all be working longer and harder as well as making financial sacrifices in order to allow Tanner City Barbershop to remain a part of the community now and in the future.

We are currently accepting appointments for our opening on Monday May 25th. We will be operating on a schedule that will allow for complete disinfecting between each client. We will update you in the days to come with what to expect when you visit the shop. We are currently able to take appointments only, no walk-ins, and for haircuts only no other services at this time.
We thank you in advance for your patience in scheduling as we try and accommodate everyone who has been waiting patiently these past months for a haircut.

We are excited to let you know that according to Governor Baker's reopening plan we will on Monday May 25th.
We will take the rest of this week to prepare to continue to maintain the highest safety standards possible.
We will be accepting appointments only and will do our best to accommodate you all as soon as possible.
