Hello, I am a home stylist looking for new clients to service. My prices are reasonable.

1️⃣ Trust God and write down your prayers.
One thing that helped me stay grounded was journaling my prayers. I personally love the 52 Week Women’s Prayer Journal by Sharron Roberts. Writing things down helped me stay focused on my goals and trust the process.

2️⃣ Stop taking advice from people who haven’t done what you’re trying to do.
I started seeking guidance from people with integrity who had already achieved what I wanted other entrepreneurs in my industry. Their advice was invaluable because they had real experience.

3️⃣ Feed your mind with the right information.
Reading books by Dave Ramsey, Mel Robbins, and Stephen Covey helped me develop a positive action oriented mindset. They also helped me prepare mentally and financially for entrepreneurship.

4️⃣ Use your free time wisely and stay consistent.
Before I left my 9 to 5 I spent my free time building my clientele. I posted on social media three times a day: before work during lunch and after work. That consistency helped me grow my business while still employed.

5️⃣ Don’t let fear of losing benefits hold you back.
I worked in education and had great insurance so leaving that behind was scary. But after becoming self-employed, I learned that Marketplace insurance worked just as well for my needs. I actually went from paying about $250 every two weeks through my job to around $40 per month on my own plan.

If you’re thinking about becoming an entrepreneur, I hope this helps. I don’t regret leaving my 9 to 5, but I also didn’t quit overnight. I used my job as a stepping stone and made sure my business was stable before making the leap.
