I'm so excited! I'm finally taking a few days to practice what I preach and take care of ME.

If you know my story, then you know I've lived with chronic pain for most of my life. Like many people dealing with chronic pain, there are times when it's manageable and times when it comes roaring back. Lately, it's definitely been the latter.

Soon I'll be heading to Austin for two days of intensive John Barnes Myofascial Release treatment. I'll be receiving several hours of therapy, including a few sessions with two therapists working with me at the same time.

Do I expect a miracle overnight? No, healing is a process and I'm hoping this will give me the boost I need to help me get back to living life more fully.

I'll keep you posted on how I'm feeling afterward. And if it's as incredible as I think it will be, it may inspire me to offer something similar here at Tranquil Oakes in the future.

Sometimes the healer needs healing too. And tacos because one of my favorite restaurants is only 20 minutes from where I'll be!

One of the most important lessons I've learned through the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach is that the body cannot be forced to heal.

Many people assume that more pressure equals better results. In reality, when the body feels threatened or overwhelmed, it often responds by tightening, guarding, and protecting itself.

Just wrapped up Day 2 of the Fascial-Pelvis seminar with the amazing John Barnes Myofascial Release team here in Houston!

This is my second time taking this seminar, and I'm reminded that there is always more to learn, refine, and grow as a practitioner. Every time I revisit this work, I gain new insights and a deeper understanding of how the body functions and heals.

I'm excited to bring these techniques back to my clients and continue helping people move with less pain, less restriction, and greater freedom.
