Almost a year in the making… I think I finally found her. 🥹💄

For almost a year, I’ve been working on finding the right logo to represent Mess Megg moving forward. I wanted something simpler and a little more grown up, but I also didn’t want to lose the personality behind the business I’ve spent so many years building.

After A LOT of versions, changing my mind, tweaking one tiny thing, changing it back and asking myself “is this the one?” approximately 100 times…

I think this is the one. 🤍

Simple. Feminine. A little bold. And still very Mess Megg.

And of course, I had to keep:

Same Mess Megg. Same affordable glam. Same love for the people who sit in my chair.

Do I care that the Midwest is currently experiencing temperatures that say otherwise? Absolutely not. Mentally, I have entered fall.

A while back, someone told me, “You don’t charge enough.”

And I remember thinking… maybe by industry standards, they’re right. But keeping my services affordable has always been intentional.

I never want to price myself to the point that someone feels like they can’t afford to feel a little extra special for an important moment.

Makeup might not be a necessity, but sometimes that little bit of glam can make you stand a little taller, smile a little bigger, and feel a little more confident walking into a big day. Whether it’s Homecoming, prom, a wedding, a pageant, family pictures, or simply an occasion that matters to you. I want professional makeup to feel accessible.

So yes, you may look at my new price list and think I could charge more. I probably could. But affordable beauty is part of what Mess Megg is about. Everyone deserves the chance to feel special during their special moments and I’m pretty proud that I can help make that happen.

A little glam shouldn’t have to be a big luxury.

Monday kicked off the first full week of school… and so far, with an activity on the schedule EVERY single night this week, my crockpot has officially become my best friend.

Back-to-school season = crockpot season in this house.
