What is on my mind? I’ve been in this business since 1985. I absolutely love what I do. Confession since I’ve been in this business since 1985 we’re all aging together, and I just never anticipated my emotions at this point in my career. The new normal is I have clients that have lost loved ones. Cancer, Parkinson’s, you name it. And God dammit I am so grateful to hold space for all of you. What a blessing I feel that is.. It is so hard. I guess this is just been a rough week for me. Talking with a mother who has lost a husband and a son. And the general population feels that after I don’t know two weeks to a month you should be over it. But guess what? They need to process this in as much time as they need. I invite everybody consider don’t feel awkward. Ask those that have lost to share their stories and let them share it over and over and over and don’t put a cap on the timeframe. Grief has no boundary. All they need is to be heard and seen. Let them share their stories 100 damn times if they need to and today, I feel grateful to hold space and be there for you. 
And I am grateful for this week as I got to serve a client that I’ve had for over 30 years that has dementia. It was very difficult for her to get to me. And very difficult for her to sit through her appointment but in the end, she felt great and seen and beautiful. And I am grateful to serve. We are not just hairdressers. We are on the journey with you, and I am so grateful to hold space.  .

I just have a quick question. Just trying to understand. Why do people go online and request an appointment, confirm the appointment and then no-show ?
This is incredibly rude. And I’ve run across this a few times. Can someone enlighten me? Does the public not understand that this is no different than their boss sending them home when they walk into work? And you don’t get paid for that? We’re all just trying to survive. 
I mean really people. What is behind this? What are you doing? Whatever it is please stop.
