Before there was Melanated™️, there was Maghan,a young woman who spent years searching for someone who truly understood her skin.

From ages 14–28, she struggled with severe cystic acne. She went from dermatologist to dermatologist and esthetician to esthetician, but never found the knowledge or care she needed for her deeper skin tone.

Eventually, she took her skincare journey into her own hands—and began seeing results.

That experience opened her eyes to a much bigger gap in the Wellness & Beauty industry: people of color deserved to feel seen, understood, and heard.

So, five years ago, with just $700, Maghan started building Melanated.

Since launching in May 2021, we’ve:
