2 strand twists will forever and always be my favorite service

1. If keeping style long term, be sure to continue in your shampoo routine. Whether it’s every 7-10 or bi-weekly

2. If wear a silk or satin head wrap to keep twists from getting crinkled

3. Apply a spray leave in followed by a hair dress or moisturizer on the ends of hair. This can be done weekly or when hair feel dry. If it’s been longer than a week see step 1

4. You and start off with a braid if you struggle with getting roots flat

5. Apply hold to hair only not the scalp (unless the product suggests to apply to scalp)

6. If you work out, sweat, or have scalp inflammation use a toner or astringent after activity or when you feel the scalp needs to be cleaned. Use a t shirt or microfiber towel.

Don’t over complicate a simple style 🌀✨💕

I know some stylists don’t like the curl chart, and I get why.

The curl chart doesn’t tell us your density, porosity, strand diameter, elasticity, or even how much hair you have. Those things matter when creating a healthy hair care plan.

But here’s the thing…

Most clients don’t speak in terms of porosity or follicle anatomy. They know their hair as “3B,” “4A,” or “4C.”

So instead of dismissing the curl chart, I use it as a starting point.

For example, Type 4 hair is coily. It typically grows from a highly curved, flattened (oval/elliptical) hair follicle, which causes the hair to form tight coils as it grows.

The curl chart isn’t the whole story, but it is a helpful way to start the conversation. From there, we can talk about the characteristics that actually determine how your hair should be cared for.

Education should meet people where they are, then take them further.

I love the progress we’ve made. Trusting someone with your hair, but also trusting the process makes for some great experiences.

Taking my time setting up the suite. It’s a corner unit & I don’t want it to feel off while I’m working. I want a comfy & clean work space free of clutter.

I’m thinking no paint, but curtains instead.
Green, orange, sand, & brown (I love earth tones)
I took the dryer chair out & dry clients from the styling chair
(I rarely have overlapping appointments)
Finally got a fridge
Picked up nespresso coffee (that was a whole experience)
coffee flavors:NOLA, Vanilla decaf, Pistachio, Yuzu, & Reg espr

I need lamps because BIG lights aren’t gonna cut it for me

I’m not sure if my bowl is leaking & needs to be re-caulked but it’s something dripping under my sink
Doing my best to not complain but have gratitude over everything, perfection doesn’t exist in this system of things.

Lastly can we talk about all the fees that are required to run a business in Florida?! Like how much more money do you want from me? Golllllly

I found a new combo. Considering it’s been raining so much. We have to fight humidity some how. I don’t personally like I create curl memory on my hair, I did like the results on higher density hair.

•I Crete curl memory
•I Create hold

Don’t make doing your hair a big chore. It’s very simple, & typically you will follow these same steps weekly.

After 7-10 days I do shampoo my braids, towel dry, reapply leave in, & oil

I usually rebraid with my hairdress a day or two after I shampoo it.

These braids are from when I was in Houston. This is my summer style all 2026
