To our clients that have appointments this week. We are doing some improvements to our front and side parking lot starting tomorrow and the front entrance to the salon will not be available for use. We have created another entrance for clients to get into the back parking lot and we have signs up directing clients where to go for parking. Any questions please feel free to give us a call at the salon and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding while we get these improvements done.

Thank you,
Bonsignore Studio and Spa

We are OPEN & SAFE.

We want to let you know and reassure you that we are open. We have, and continue to practice the highest standards of sanitation and safety for both our staff and patrons. We have had NO cases or incidents of positive tests or cases associated with our salon. ZERO! If you have been into the salon since our reopening in June, you are aware of the compliance with all required, and some NOT required steps and precautions we take to assure this safety standard to each and every client, each and every time they enter the shop and throughout the visit.

Dr. Michael Mendoza, The Monroe County Commissioner of Public Heath, stated on November 23, 2020 that "gyms, Hair Salons and Barbershops are NOT among the types of bussinesses that we're worried about. As we look at the most safe places in our community, barbershops, hair salons, gyms, fitness centers and schools really are in the top in terms of the most safe in my view."

These are our procedures we practice and have implemented since we first reopened in June and continue every day:

- Upon arriving, everyone must call the salon from the parking lot and be told to enter or wait until they can enter. This allows for the proper number of people in the salon at one time. We have removed our waiting area, so there is no place to sit and wait to be serviced.

- When instructed to enter, a MASK MUST BE WORN and everyone's temperature is taken and recorded, along with being questioned about any recent travel. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or greater is not allowed entry as well as anyone who has traveled and NOT met the state's present testing and/or quarantining regulations.

- Clients are instructed to come to their appointments alone. There is no place for anyone, not getting a service, to sit and wait. All waiting must be done in your car, in the parking lot.

- Clients are then asked to go into the bathroom and wash their hands before going to their stylist or technician's work station.

- Prior to every client occupying any work station or chair, it has been thoroughly wiped down and sanitized. Every chair and surface that someone sits in, including dryer chairs and shampoo chairs and bowls, are sanitized before anyone else occupies them.

- ALL employees, stylists and technicians wear masks at all time.

- Work stations are all six (6) feet apart. Barriers are erected and in place where a six foot barrier is not possible, such as between shampoo bowls and a dryer area.

- Hand sanitizers are distributed on tables throughout the salon and available to all.

- All surfaces in the salon are continually sanitized, including desktops and doorknobs.

- All instruments, brushes, combs etc are washed and sanitized after each and every use on a client.

- We have removed all coffee service and water cooler accessibility as well as all magazines from the salon.

- If your appointment is for a haircut or haircut and style (No Color), IF POSSIBLE, PLEASE ARRIVE TO THE SALON WITH YOUR HAIR FRESHLY SHAMPOOED, CONDITIONED AND COMBED. This cuts down on traffic and any congestion in the shampoo area and helps assure social distancing

We have and continue to practice all these precautions. You are safer stepping into our salon than grocery stores, department stores, liquor stores, and many many other businesses and locations deemed "Essential".

We all thought you should know and would like to know the measures we have taken to assure your safety and well being as well as that of our staff.

Thank You for your continued support and patronage. Be Well and God Bless

Why do gyms, hair salons and barbershops need to close in an Orange Zone? 11/24/2020

Dr. Michael Mendoza (Monroe County Health Commissioner): 'So, gyms, hair salons and barbershops are not among the types of businesses that we're worried about. As we look to the most safe places in our community, barbershops, hair salons, gyms, fitness centers and schools really are in the top in terms of the most safe in my view.'

Why do gyms, hair salons and barbershops need to close in an Orange Zone? As part of Monroe County was headed to an Orange Zone, News10NBC started hearing from hairdressers, barbers, nail techs and gym owners who were concerned about another closure.

Hello Everyone. I hope this message finds you happy and healthy.

We here at Bonsignore Studio and Spa have been working hard to keep all of our clients and staff safe and comfortable

We continue to follow all of the New York State guidelines for beauty salons and spas. We sanitize all work stations, chairs and tools between each and every client. We wear masks and goggles with barriers erected in the areas where social distancing is less than the six feet minimum. We continue to ask clients to call the salon upon arrival from the parking lot, to be told you can enter. Also please continue to arrive for you haircut appointments freshly shampooed as we are limited to our shampoo bowl usage.

One more guideline we have begun to enforce is, upon entering the salon,

we ask clients about any recent travel outside of New York State.

We have, and continue to take and record everyones temperature upon entry.

If you have traveled to one of the 14 states that have been placed on the governors banned list within the last 14 days,

we will then unfortunately have to ask you to leave as we will not be able to permit you entrance into the salon for your appointment.

If you know you have made these travels,

please contact us PRIOR to your appointment so we can reschedule you out past the appropriate quarantine time. (14 days).

We thank you for your continued support and understanding during these trying times and look forward to seeing all of our clients happy and healthy!
