A Heartfelt Update from Kristyn

I have some special news to share. My last day at My Salon Suites will be December 23, 2025. I have been accepted into nursing school and will begin full-time classes in January.

Doing hair has truly been one of the greatest joys of my life. I'm endlessly grateful for your trust, support, and the friendships that have formed over the years. I'll miss the time we spend together during your appointments more than words can say.

It's not yet goodbye, while in school I plan to continuing offering services 1-2 days per week. If you would like to stay with me into this next chapter, I kindly ask for your grace and flexibility as I balance classes and clinical rotation.

If I cannot accommodate your future appointments, I'll happily share personalized stylist recommendations and your formulas to ensure you remain in skilled hands.

This change is about creating more options for my future, but please know that my love for hair- and for you- remains as strong as ever.

Starting in January, I'll be renting a booth part-time at Izzo Hair & Co- 9th Avenue, from my longtime time mentor, Steve Izzo. I'll keep you updated on scheduling details.

Summer is almost here, and I want to make sure you feel completely supported when it comes to caring for your hair and planning your upcoming appointments. In this issue, you’ll find tips for keeping your hair healthy all season long, a note about pricing security, updated summer hours, and a few product recommendations I’m loving right now. Think of this as your seasonal check-in—created to keep you feeling confident, refreshed, and cared for. I am trying to transition into a window suite so stay tuned for another summer update!

To honor your commitment to self-care, I’ve chosen to put pause on my annual summer price increase. This allows you to continue investing in your well-being without hesitation, knowing that your luxury experience remains both intentional and accessible.

Summer Hair Care

Maintaining healthy hair can be a challenge in this hot sunny climate, but with a handful of essential products and a little extra love, you can achieve stunning results all summer long. I’ve included a new category on my “Shop My” to include summer essentials. Click “shop my favorite tools and products” below for direct links. I also keep these products accessible in the salon!

Lux tips to keep you looking fab:

- All of the Oligo and Blacklight styling products contain UV protection!
- Wood combs are great to detangle and pull your natural scalp oils onto mids and ends. I keep one in my purse and beach bag.
-Be sure to use a clean, nontoxic dry shampoo! This products sits directly on your hair follicles, the ingredients are extremely important. My favorite is from a small, woman owned business called “Root Pretty”
-Always coat hair with Oligo 18 in 1, primer or blowout mist and finish with the Oligo Elixir prior to swimming or prolonged sun exposure. The Oligo Elixir is a water free oil that repels water molecules!
-Wash hair and treat as soon as possible after exposure to salt water or chlorine. I prefer the Oligo Moisture Balance shampoo and Blacklight Recovery Masque for extra hydration and care.

Updated Hours

As I continue to prioritize balance and create the best experience possible behind the chair, I’ve made a few adjustments to my schedule. For now, my hours are Tuesday–Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM, with one evening per week (either Wednesday or Friday) available until 7 PM. I’ll also be offering three Saturdays a month from 10 AM to 4 PM. Please note that the latest I’ll take a highlight appointment is 4:30 PM. Thank you for planning ahead and for your continued support—I’m so grateful to be part of your self-care routine. If you would prefer early morning appointments (7am) please let me know and I may make that a possibility.
