It was such a pleasure to officially join our friend AJ’s event this year as a salon.

For the past few years, we’ve proudly supported behind the scenes, and this year she finally convinced us to step onto the runway for the 6th Annual Peoria Hair and Fashion Showcase by Asharp Effect Salon, a moment we won’t forget.

The theme this year was Runway of Oz. At our salon meeting we talked about what we would want to do and Mandy suggested "Emerald City Music Fest" and this is how an idea was born. How would the people of Oz show up if there was a music festival?

Seeing our models and work featured in the Peoria Journal Star alongside so many talented hair and fashion professionals is truly an honor.

The talent and creativity within our community is absolutely incredible. We couldn’t be more proud of our team and are so thankful for the models who trusted us and walked the runway for Aura.

Looking ahead, we hope to see even more salons join this event next year and help showcase just how special and creatively rich our Peoria community truly is.

Hi, I’m Claire I’m a passionate hairstylist specializing in all things color — from bold transformations to beautiful, low-maintenance looks. While blonding is one of my favorite techniques, I love creating custom colors and cuts that make you feel confident! I’m currently accepting new clients, and I’d love for you to be my next one!

Alethea's path into wellness began on the self-sufficient farm where she was raised — a place where herbs, hands-on healing, and seasonal rhythms were part of everyday life. That early connection to the land inspired a lifelong calling to care for others, first through midwifery and nursing, and for the past ten years, through spa and beauty services rooted in relaxation and renewal.
Now proudly serving the Peoria community, Alethea offers deeply restorative facials, full-body treatments, brow and lash tinting, and gentle face/full body waxing for all. Her approach is grounded in the belief that skincare should be clean, intentional, and connected to nature — which is why she works exclusively with natural products that support both the body and the Earth.
Outside the treatment room, Alethea shares a creative, full-hearted life with her spouse. Together they love cooking, making art, spending time outdoors, and gathering with friends. Between their three grown sons, a sweet grandchild, and all the exploring still to do in their new hometown, life continues to grow - beautifully and abundantly.
