I don’t think I’ve ever been over winter as much as I am now.
I need dry roads, the sound of a purring engine and the smell of “old day gas” - as Benny likes to call it.
They say winter is for slow living but I disagree; there is nothing as soothing and comforting as a long drive on back roads with the windows down and the breeze in my hair.

Things have been been awfully quiet around here. I’ve been posting a lot in my private group, so if you’d like to get in on that please send me a PM and I’ll add you to it!!

Christmas and New years are fast approaching and with all the sickness in the air I’ve had handfuls of cancellations!! I’m going to post them below!!

For this week I have:
Wednesday 12/20 at 6pm for a root touch up and/or cut **this has been booked

Friday 12/22 at 10am for a color and cut

Saturday 12/23 at 8am for a full foil/color and cut
And 11:15am for a color and cut

Let me know if you’d like to get in before Christmas!

I suppose it’s time to update everyone about what’s been going on over here on my side of the internet.

A month ago our lives shifted considerably. I took on a second job and Derek committed to something he’s always wanted to do but has never taken the time to do it.

As hunting season started closing in on us I joked it would be beneficial to get a job at a local gun store. Well, I guess I truly spoke that into existence because before I knew it I was offered and accepted a part-time job as the administrative assistant for Old Glory Guns and Ammo. This month Derek will start attending the firefighter academy to become an on-call firefighter for our town. Neither of these things are anything close to what our careers are in, obviously. But as life continues on we decided that change is good. I am still doing hair part time and he is still running his business full time. So this just means we have even less free time than we did before. Gluttons for punishment, maybe? 😅 To add to the chaos, we put Benny in a club/traveling baseball team. So free time is nonexistent at this point. However, I am loving every minute of it. It’s exhausting and hard and stressful and I just want to lay in my bed and cry at times but all of this is encouraging growth in each of us individually and as a family.

My hair career has shifted a bit with these changes and it will continue to shift over the next couple months. And if you’ve been in my chair recently then you know about it. If you haven’t been in my chair recently, don’t worry… I’ll inform you when I see you. I’m very excited for where this is going.

I’m so grateful for the continued support for both of our businesses and our family. There have been days when we have had to pivot last minute and the understanding and ease from our clients/customers and friends and family has been so helpful and appreciated.

I can’t wait to see where this journey leads my little family and me. ❤️❤️

We will be out of the salon for a few days.
