Chair hopping from stylist to stylist also matters. Find one whose work AND personality you like and stick with them! At LEAST for 3 or 4 appointments. Hair history affects the outcome so we might not always get you to your goal hair in one sitting. Be honest with your stylist when she asks about your hair history. The questions are not meant to shame you, it’s so we can do our jobs better to satisfy your hair goals! 🥰
Pro tip: when you stick with a stylist, she then becomes your hair history and can serve your hair goals even better. We know our products well, but we can’t possibly know all the other products previous stylists have used on your hair. Chair hopping can be damaging to your hair and goals!
Fun Fact: Box colors are formulated strong enough to pe*****te coarse, thick hair. It’s formulated as a “one size fits all” coloring system but not everyone has coarse thick hair. Actually, most clients I serve don’t. Professional stylists don’t hate box colors because they’re some sort of competition for us (because they’re not.) We hate box color because we know it’s not good for your hair health. Professional stylists LITERALLY formulate customizable color for your specific hair type, density, length, health, and goals. It’s catered specifically for YOU! Some people use box color and have no problems; That’s great! But it’s when you decide you need a hair change and try to do it at home and don’t get the results you want OR WORSE: get something awful (-> I had a client once who came in with bright red roots and dingy greenish blonde ends bc she tried to change and correct at home.) This is often when people seek professional help… which will then likely be a color correction which is a tedious job that can take double the hours and be quite expensive. There is a lot of science, knowledge, and experience that you get with a professional that you don’t get from a box color application at home. If you want to color your hair, choose wisely! 🥰
I wish ALL of my amazing clients could win this but there is only 1 basket! Congratulations Crissy! Lucky winner of this V-Day Basket Giveaway! Happy Valentine’s Day! Thank you so much to all of my amazing clients who support me!

Reopening Policy & Guidelines for Clients 05/18/2020
04/24/2020
To my clients... I did not have my phone yesterday, so bear with me as I get caught up on messages. I have typed a letter to clients and will attach the Ga State Board of Cosmetology Guidelines To Reopen along with it for you to review if you so wish. I want everyone to be aware of what to expect when getting their hair done. Notice if your stylist is not following these strict guidelines, they are putting you at higher risk of contracting or spreading this virus.
**Consider all appointments on my book in May to be cancelled at this time.**
I will be contacting my clients individually very soon to reschedule. All of this is explained in better detail below. Please read my letter and please be patient with me as I work to get everything in order. Thank you!
*** TO MY CLIENTS ***
Y’all I HATE EVERYTHING about this. I LOVE my job. I LOVE what I do. & I LOVE my clients.
• I don’t like the idea of going back to work and keeping clients separate from each other... sometimes those are when the best conversations take place!
• I don’t like the idea of not seeing your faces, especially your smiles.
• I don’t like the idea of treating you like a kindergartener making sure you wash and sanitize your hands.
• I don’t like the idea of having to wipe and spray everything down that you touched in such a manner that feels like I think you’re a nasty person.
I HATE this. I have been in anguish over this ever since yesterday when Kemp spoke.
Yes, I love doing the hairs. I love expressing my creativity daily. But I also love the interaction with my clients just as much.
I don’t want to feel as if I’m treating you like a potential case instead of the person you are to me; special.
If you are a praying person in close relationship with God, I could really use your prayers on this.
I am spending much time in deep prayer about all of this. I am seeking God’s wisdom. I don’t care what anybody says, I don’t want to make any decision without leaning on God for it.
As of right now, I am keeping to the original reopen date: May 1.
I will NOT open any earlier except for the few clients I have contacted, and those are clients of whom I am aware that have weakened immune systems.
There is a chance I may have to reschedule and open later than expected due to not being able to implement the safety guidelines to protect you and to protect me. Obtaining the supplies needed is not easy. I have had a couple of people reach out to me and offer help with obtaining these supplies. If you’re able and willing to help me get these supplies so that I can service my clients, that would greatly be appreciated. I can pay you for the supplies or deduct it from the services you get from me: whichever you prefer.
I will be working on writing up a policy for implementing these safety measures that I will expect each client to receive and honor.
Ladies and gents,
I love y’all. I want to do your hair and not spread this virus to you and your families.
I ask y’all to please bear with me and show me some grace. I feel a huge responsibility towards y’all. I am working on getting prepared physically and mentally to meet your hair needs.
I’m hoping to have a policy available for y’all to look over by the end of the week or early next week.
Thank you for your grace, patience, love, kindness, and understanding. I really do appreciate and love you! ❤️
****TO MY CLIENTS****
I have been booking clients starting in May because that’s when the Shelter-In-Place in Georgia was originally intended to be lifted. Since then, Trump and his team have put together and released a phase out plan to get our economy up and running again and he’s given the Governors of each state the authority to make the decision when to implement it for their state.
I have read through the phase out plan and it does not specify it’s position on salons. If I remember correctly, gyms are allowed to open in phase one if and only if they can maintain the social distancing guidelines and sanitary measures established within that phase.... but bars are to remain closed. Bars can only begin opening in phase 2 if and only if they can maintain the social distancing guidelines and sanitary measures outlined in that phase.
With the beauty industry being a service industry that requires direct contact with persons for an extended amount of time... I’m not exactly sure where we fall in to the phase out program... especially since it’s not specifically addressed.
So I’m waiting to hear what the governor has to say about it. As of right now, the number of COVID-19 cases in Georgia are still growing in number, so I’m not even sure when a phase out will even begin and when it does, how long each phase will last until we get to enter in to the next phase.. 😩
Also, from what I’m being told, even if the governor implements the phase out program for Georgia, each city can make their own decision on what’s best for their city. If a certain city has a high amount of COVID-19 cases or if it has an up flow of cases, they may choose to delay the phase out program for their city.
With ALL of that said, I AM booking clients for May, however, there is the prospect that I may have to contact you to reschedule for a later date. I am following the news on this very closely to stay informed from the president to the state and the city.
I’d love to go ahead and get you on my book to ensure that you have a spot for when I can finally open back up. I do expect my schedule to be pretty hectic in the beginning which might possibly make it hard to get in with me at that time.
I hope all of you are doing well and staying well during this time. If any of you need or would like prayer during this time, please let me know. ❤️
