The wait is over (sort of). I will be officially returning to the salon May 25th. I also have some good news, I will be moving to a different suite in the building! When I return you will find me in Suite 102.
I know everyone is anxious to get an appointment. I have 8 weeks worth of clients to reschedule, so I'll thank you for your patience while I work my way through the list. The new normal will present challenges, but my main focus is and always will be providing you with the best service possible while upholding strict safety standards. I ask that you review the following guidelines before even booking an appointment. If any of them pose an issue for you, let me know asap.
1- There will be no waiting inside the building for your appointment time. You can text me when you arrive and I will alert you when you can enter. I'll meet you at the door and you can either wash your hands in the restroom or use hand sanitizer.
2- Masks will be mandatory to receive a service. It must loop around the ears, NOT around the neck or head in anyway, and it must be worn during the entire appointment. If you are receiving a color service, I suggest wearing a mask that you will not mind getting soiled or stained around the ears, just in case.
3- Absolutely NO children or additional guests will be permitted to attend your appointment. I also will not be providing services for children at all during this time.
4- Drinks offered will be limited to water and pop, and will not be self-serve.
5- I will select and bag your retail purchases for you
6- please limit your personal items to only what is necessary. For example, wallet and keys only.
7- I ask you DO NOT show up if you are showing any symptoms or sign of fever, have been sick, or have been exposed to anyone with covid-19. Should you come in sick, you will not be permitted to reschedule in the future.

⚠️ Mixed Methods ⚠️
Double tap ❤ if this transformation makes you 😍😲😍😲😍
Extensions are not one size fits all. I am certified and practiced in not one but FOUR extension methods!
Wefts are my favorite, for so many reasons...BUT they arent always enough!
Pictured here are 120 grams of volume weft, and 25 grams of K-tips to fill in the sides, and blend shorter layers in the back!
K-tips are great, they are an integrated method which can be cut down to custom sizes and placed higher on the head and closer to the hairline while remaining invisible!
Which method is right for you???

BIG changes in a SHORT period of time!
Kind of sounds like everything going on in our lives right now 🥴
I started out this week with this AMAZING transformation, and I'm ending the week in a moderate self quarantine 😲
Maria came in wanting something fresh and youthful, natural but kind of bold. Her base color was being lifted too much which was exposing unwanted warmth, and her highlights were stripey and bland! She didnt mind having warm colors, but they needed to be rich and purposeful!
So I only shifted her base slightly to better control the tones, and to cover her natural sparkles😜 Then I added some teased and air touch highlights, with a strong money piece. Once that processed, I applied a gradient toning gloss to melt and blend everything together!
She felt SO GOOD WHEN SHE LEFT! She wanted to hug, but we couldn't lol
She said she'd NEVER felt that way about her hair, and she said she looked 10 years younger ❤🤩

To my hair stylist friends, please just keep your wits about you.
If you are a commission stylist, apply for unemployment benefits now. Know that a lot of people, in a lot of industries, are doing the same and you may need to have extra patience when it comes to the online application portals.
For my Independent Contractors out there, Stay Calm. We are not eligible for unemployment benefits, this is one of the many risks associated with self-employment.
If you need $$ now to get through the week, I suggest continuing to sell your retail products. Be wary of selling gift cards, or allowing people to pre-pay for future appointments. Don't solve a SHORT TERM problem, with a long term solution. If you need clarification or just want to talk things out, text/dm me!
Use this time wisely! If finances have you stressed to the max, then changes need to be made for your future. Take the time right now to go over your spending for the past 3-4 months. Look through your bank and credit card statements, categorize your spending look at your totals. The first step to financial freedom is KNOWLEDGE! Look at where your money is going, find waste, and make cuts where you can.
When I started, I was spending $100+ per month on starbucks runs, and compared to most of my stylist pals I was probably on the low end. Maybe coffee isn't where you want to make concessions, and that's okay! You can budget for whatever fits your lifestyle, but chances are you'll find something in your budget that makes you go 🤢
I could talk about this stuff forever! I have a ton of great resources to share if that interests you!
If you want to focus on increasing your income in the future, then again USE THIS TIME WISELY! Sit down and make a business plan, I have resources for this too. Some paid, and some free. Create and edit your social media content, address your online presence, organize your inventory process, analyze your business model, perfect your systems, educate yourself on taxes and self employment, set up your online booking software.

I have decided to close for the time being due to the COVID-19 virus as the CDC has recommended social distancing of 6 feet, this is impossible during a salon service. Though I have been meticulously sanitizing between clients, I feel this just isn’t enough at this point. The only way to stop the spread of this virus is to follow the lead of the community and state and do everything we can to protect one another.
I will reevaluate the situation on a weekly basis as there are more developments.
Please know that this was not easy for me, but I am putting the safety my clients, my family and myself first. I promise each and everyone of you who have appointments scheduled, as soon as this blows over I will be getting you rescheduled ASAP!
stay safe + healthy 🤍
