Yes, I sit on the massage table. And yes, their arm goes over my leg. 👀
A few things that make this work:
🤍 Draping matters. I lay a pillowcase over my lap so their arm rests on clean fabric, not my clothing.
🤍 During the pec stretch, you can use that same pillowcase to shield the side of the chest. Super helpful for bigger-chested clients, or anyone who’d feel more comfortable covered.
🤍 Consent first, always. I’ve seen comments saying people would never put a client’s arm between their legs like this. I get it! But with informed consent, clear communication, and real respect for the work, positioning like this can create an amazing experience for your client.
Using your own body as a tool lets you reach muscles in ways your hands alone can’t. Sitting on the table is just one example.

Taxes are your BIGGEST expense.
As massage therapists, we were never taught how to reduce our tax burden. But there are tons of strategies you can use, LEGALLY 💸
The Augusta Rule is one we have been using since day one and it has saved us thousands on our tax bill 💸
If you have questions, feel free to comment, we will answer all of them that we can 💚
And remember…this is not tax advice. We are not tax professionals. Go talk to your CPA 🙌

Does massage ever “hurt soooo good” for you?
If you’re feeling burntout as a massage therapist, the best medicine is the very thing you give to your clients! 💕 especially that focused hand & arm work 🤤

It’s very common for people to turn to massage when they back, neck, or shoulders feel physically sore or tense or painful. But it’s also pretty common for people to turn to massage when life feels heavy, they want time for themselves, and they just need a little mental reset or self love celebration 💕✨🫶🏻

One of my favorite customizations for a massage is adding focused, detailed work to the head, neck & face. This is 25 minutes of massage to the scalp distilled down into 1 minute 💕
Many people find massage to the head one of the most relaxing parts. Whether your brain is busy, your head hurts, or you just find it relaxing, we love giving detailed work to the areas you love 🫶🏻

The last one is going to make people mad 😂
But it’s TRUE.
So many massage therapists avoid asking their clients to join their membership, or even to rebook.
They say things like “If my client wants to rebook, they will” and “I don’t want to sound like a salesperson”
But what they really mean is “Asking for the sale feels uncomfortable, so I avoid it entirely”
I want to reassure everyone…..asking for the sale is a GOOD thing. Your client is an adult and if it is not right for them, they can say no. But they can’t say YES unless you ask.
So be brave, be compassionate, and give people the option to say YES to consistent massage 🙏❤️
