Alright curlfriends, let’s talk about two things that can sneak up on your curls 👀 — protein damage and oil damage.
💪 Protein damage happens when you overdo it on protein treatments or products. A little is great, but too much and your curls start feeling stiff, dry, and snappy. Think of it like working out every day with no rest day. Your hair needs balance too!
🥥 Oil damage is another sneaky one. When oil builds up too much, it coats your hair so water can’t get in. And since water is your hair’s real source of moisture, that layer of oil is actually keeping your curls thirsty.
Moral of the story? Don’t let your curls go on a hydration strike 💦 Balance is key!
