In 2008, I set my eyes on Cosmetology School.
In 2011, I officially started my career behind the chair.
In December 2023, my time behind the chair comes to a pause.

Over the years, you have made this more than a career. Each of you have made me a better person, mother, and friend. The lessons, wisdom, and trust you’ve shared with me has been an honor to receive.

Many of you know being behind the chair is also part of how I serve in ministry.

Through all these things: undergrad, graduate school, ordination, my first marriage, welcoming my children into the world, a pandemic, a divorce, and witness my happy ending with Jonathan, you all have not wavered.

You’ve been steadfast and faithful clients which has supported my children and I through all these and more than I can list in one post.

You’ve let me journey with you through joys and sadness as well. I will never take that for granted.

I say all this to say that my last day at Hairitage Salon will be December 28th, 2023. I have accepted a full time ministry position that begins in January. If I ever get to return behind the chair , I’ll be sure to let you know.

I’m here to help you in the transition to a new stylist in the new year.

Today, we did a Keratin smoother on this Curly guest. She has natural voluminous waves but wants to have a quicker blowout with less frizz and humidity expansion.

Sounds pretty smooth, right?
