Massage Therapy and Bodywork with an emphasis on Health and Wellness. I created my business to help and heal others that suffer from chronic pain just as I do.

I believe in the healing powers of massage therapy and bodywork because they have transformed my life, as well. Where I used to take a handful of meds for Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, SI Joint Dysfunction and herniated discs, I now live a healthy lifestyle and utilize massage therapy instead. I combine a variety of modalities, such as: Deep Tissue, Swedish, Sports Massage, Hot Stones, Cupping, Ly

THIS. 🙌

NAGGING MID-BACK PAIN! 😖
You know that pain between the shoulder blades you can’t quite reach and you’re not sure if you should “dig it out” or stretch it?!

Ya… that one!

1️⃣ Thank you for all the feedback on yesterday’s post based on what you neeeeed !
This post was born from that :) And there will be more to come, of course!
2️⃣ STOP DIGGING! 👀
You’re not going to “break anything up.” Those “knots” you feel is the bodies response to need to hold on tight, create tension because it either feels unsafe or has been placed in a position long enough that it’s learning to hold you in a new pattern. Again, to protect you!

*️⃣REMINDER*️⃣
Your body is trying to work WITH you, not against you. No matter how much it feels like it is.

So, rather than digging & punishing it, let’s get curious about why that tension is building in the first place!
❓Could it be due to being hunched over a desk all day at work? In a rounded position all day, it probably doesn’t need to be stretched there MORE. Nor will digging make any long term change. In this position, your body is already trying to hold you up all day as you’re rounding & working against it. So, maybe, just maybe, it doesn’t need to be rounded & stretched there more… but rather stretched & opened on the OPPOSITE side (front of the chest) and ACTIVATED and strong in the back!

Read that again & take some time to wrap the mind around it.
Then, share this post with your friends so they can learn as well!

If we want to FEEL something different in the body, we must give it a different stimulus!
Sure, rubbing might feel better in the moment but it doesn’t actually provide the body with a different learned stimulus (strength, movement, control) to actually create long-term change!

If we want change, keep moving.
If we want change, keep exploring.

Try at least some of these out in a daily basis & see how you feel!!🙌

Let me know if you do any of these consistently now or how it feels after you try some!👇
