My makeup was featured in a few months ago and I’m only now posting it on the grid. 😅 Despite that, it’s one of my favorite looks I’ve done.

I achieved this by using both live + dried flowers and applying them piece by piece. I placed one where I thought it might come together and this is the result.

If you’re a part of the beauty industry, you know how it has endured some of the worst, most painful economic effects of COVID-19. Small salon or spa businesses are most commonly owned by women and minorities, just like me. About 60% of employment-based, small business beauty salons are owned by women. That’s 3x higher than the women-owned business rate for the ENTIRE. ECONOMY. Yeah, the whole damn country. Of salon industry establishments, 58% have less than 5 employees, while 63% have less than 10. The 45B Tax Credit proposal will allow salons a fair chance to maintain and expand beauty industry employment without financial burden.

Tipping is customary in salon operations and should not be a viable limitation on building a successful space for marginalized groups to thrive. We need to let Congress know the 45B F**A tax code should be revised to ensure that salon businesses can rebuild to pave a robust employment path for America’s middle class.
