Somewhere under a shed or a woodpile near your house — a red fox is giving birth right now.

Four to six kits. Each one weighs a few ounces. Eyes sealed shut. Dark brown, not orange. You wouldn't recognize them as foxes.

She won't leave the den for two weeks. The male brings food to the entrance every night. He doesn't go in.

Right now there's nothing to see. But the fox trotting through your yard with food in his mouth and an urgent pace — that's the tell. He's delivering.

🦊 If you think there's a den nearby:

- Stay back and use binoculars — approaching pushes the mother to relocate
- Don't place food near the entrance — the male is providing
- If it's under your deck or shed, leave it alone until summer. The family disperses by July
- Don't call animal control — a den near your house is normal and temporary

Next week,I’m leading a moonlight mindfulness walk and meditation at Morris Arboretum. This month’s moon is known as the Pink Moon in association with April’s abundance of Spring blooms. We’ll bath in the moonlight and release away what we’d like to let go of in this lunar cycle. I’d love to see familiar faces there!

Hi ! Our friend and neighbors sweet friendly pup “Birdy” escaped from their back yard this afternoon. Please let us know if you see her!
She was last near Wissahickon and Allen’s Lane.
Call Anne at +1 (267) 334-4727 if you spot her.
Shes a hound so she could have ventured out pretty far. They’re not on Facebook so I’m posting for them.

Still space to sign up for my special offering during the Harvest Full Moon 🌕
We’ll soak in the energy of the glowing moon, amidst a walking meditative experience.
See link to sign up!

Spiritually, the full moon symbolizes deep emotion, completion, and spiritual growth.

The full moon is the phase when the sun illuminates the entire moon, making her as full, round, and bright as can be. This phase represents completion, fertility, abundance, and transformation, when the seeds from the new moon come into bloom.

In the beautiful setting of the Morris, this class will guide us to use mindfulness meditation practices to enjoy our moonlit surroundings and be fully present with ourselves while we stroll through as the sun sets, the moon rises, and the day turns to dusk and then to night. To our community of clients,
Here are some steps we are taking in the office as COVID-19 appears in the community.

What We are doing:

√ Continuing our practice of standard OSHA protective protocols in terms of hand washing, clean sheets, and sterilized cupping and massage equipment.

√ Adding extra sanitizing measures: wiping door handles, faucets, face cradles, all hard surfaces including call buttons and bathrooms.

√ Patients will be screened and vetted by phone during appointment and confirmation calls to ensure that they are not symptomatic. Symptomatic patients (coughing, sneezing, fever, etc.) will be directed to seek assistance from their primary care physician.

√ All surfaces will be professionally cleaned and sanitized to reduce the risk of infection

The best things you can do right now:

√ Stay informed. Keep up with travel advisories, as the situation changes all the time.

√ Stay hydrated and healthy. Focus on the things you can control – get enough sleep, eat nourishing and nutritious foods, wash your hands regularly, wipe down “high-touch” surfaces (e.g. phones, workspaces, keys, etc.)

√ Most people, if not in a high-risk category (older folks, those with chronic illnesses, those with weakened immune systems, those who are pregnant) themselves, are in contact with one – be aware of protecting those around you.

√ If you’re sick, please stay home. Return to normal activities once you are feeling better and your symptoms have subsided.
