Day 18 Post Op SMAS/MALS/APPENDECTOMY/GJ PLACEMENT NJ REMOVAL surgeries. The absolute hardest thing i’ve ever had to do. It’s actually insane. I miss my job SOOOO much😭 My fam at pHd, my wonderful clients.. I miss you all! Recovery has been low and slow. This has tested me as a person more than I could ever describe. Just checking in to say I’m still here and that when I come back big things are coming! I hope everyone’s ready for the brand new me when she’s born⭐️⭐️⭐️

i did it MY way.

years and years of gaslighting, demonizing, and of course not “you’re a woman.” MY way is not hiding my past self for not taking my health more seriously. MY way is showing up with a positive attitude KNOWING my surgeries are more intense than pancreatic cancer. MY way is putting MY HEALTH first and foremost. MY way is meeting a fellow warrior online and becoming hospital palz! MY way is saying YES to multiple surgeries knowing it can change my life for good. MY way is making life decisions that will set me up for success the rest of my life. MY way is doing what’s best for me, even when it’s hard.
now just IMAGINE i ate breakfast.. i would be a fu***ng superhero!! (i miss u all 😭)

Clients: Please read (Life update)🤍

First of all I want to say THANK YOU to all of the wonderful clients who trust me with their visions, your support through all of these obstacles has been truly humbling. I apologize for all of the scheduling issues and cancelled appointments due to my health and everything that goes into it. My latest curve ball is this week being told I need to immediately receive an NJ tube (feeding tube). I’ve never had one before and I’m honestly shocked at all of the “complications” and attentiveness that came with it. Im so lucky to be staying at my mom’s house and having her help me navigate this (she’s a nurse lol). Honestly I do not know what I would do without her help, this is a lot. I have so much respect for all of my chronically ill friends who will never be able to stop using feeding aids. My last day before I leave for my 2 major surgeries across the country was supposed to be July 30th. It breaks my heart to say but I’m not confident in handling this and being a hairstylist at the same time. The tube itself causes me great discomfort and on top of that, I don’t want my issues to overshadow my client during their self care appointment. The feeding tube has definitely slowed me down, and unfortunately my job is 100% active- which worries me. These surgeries are going to be intense, but I am hoping to be back around 6/8 weeks out. Ultimately though, my body will have to decide. I will miss all of you SO incredibly much, and I sincerely hope you’ll be back to see me when i’m healthy! I’m looking forward to free myself of a couple of my shackles and lead a “normal” life. Friends, listen to your bodies. I’ve been gaslit since I was 12 years old and it totally blew up in my face these past few years. Advocate for yourself and don’t be scared to question things. Your body is your temple and I’m hoping these next few steps will help fix mine. So much love to all of my clients and compassionate coworkers- and f*** I already miss u all!!
