Here are 5 tips to help you when booking a balayage appointment.

1. **Book a Consultation**:
- Before your balayage appointment, I recommend filling out a consultation with me on our website. This will give us the opportunity to discuss your hair goals, assess your hair condition, and determine the best approach to achieve the balayage look you desire. Sometimes your desired photo/look may be foils instead of balayage. It's essential for us to be on the same page and set realistic expectations for your balayage transformation.

2. **Prepare Your Hair**:
- On the day of your appointment, make sure your hair is clean and dry. Starting with a clean canvas will help me achieve the best results with your balayage. Avoid using heavy styling products that can weigh down your hair or interfere with the coloring process. By preparing your hair properly, we can ensure a successful balayage application.

3. **Communicate Your Expectations**:
- It's crucial for you to communicate any specific expectations or concerns you have about your balayage. Whether you're looking for a subtle sun-kissed effect or a more dramatic color change, sharing your vision with me will help us tailor the balayage technique to suit your preferences. Feel free to show me any inspiration photos you have in mind.

4. **Understand Maintenance Requirements**:
- Balayage is known for its low-maintenance appeal, but it still requires proper care to keep the color looking fresh and vibrant. I will provide you with personalized aftercare recommendations, including the use of color-safe products and any additional treatments your balayage may need. Understanding how to maintain your balayage will ensure long-lasting results.

5. **Trust the Process**:
- Trust in my expertise and the balayage process. Balayage is a customized technique that allows for a natural, seamless blend of color. Embrace the artistic approach of hand-painting highlights onto your hair, knowing that the end result will enhance your features and provide a unique, personalized look. Relax and enjoy the transformation!

By following these tips and working together, we can create a beautiful balayage look that enhances your natural beauty and leaves you feeling confident and stylish. 💕

Allow me to reintroduce myself 🗣

I have some news I’ve been dying to share, Im now apart of the Art of Business Ambassador program! Out of many applications, I am 1 of 8 amazing people to be accepted. I am beyond grateful to have the opportunity.

What is Art of Business?
This is where local salons get a lot of our product and equipment that we use on the daily. They also offer support/resources and education within our industry.

What this means?
I’ll be representing Davines specifically and sharing all of their products with you.

Art of business has always had a special place in my heart. Now I get to represent them along with Davines which is such an amazing brand. I can’t wait to share with all of you what’s new and what Davines represents and how they give back!

UNPOPULAR OPINION ✨

Stop waiting for your hair to get oily for you to do something about it. Get ahead of it girl. Spraying your dry shampoo in before your hair “needs” it allows for the dry shampoo to soak up the oil as it comes in. It’s doing the job in real time instead of after.

Another hot tip, I see most people spray in dry shampoo and use their hands to blend 🙍🏽‍♀️ your hands are oily and now your touching your oily roots trying to make them look less oily? Are you following me? Use your brush instead! Spray and brush in, this helps blend the product. I also like to use my blow dryer on low heat or cool and brush through to blend.

For my brunettes, STOP using the regular dry shampoo. Use a tinted dry shampoo... my personal favorite water killer (brunette) also make sure your using a brush when blending since it does have a brown color to it. This was life changing for me so I didn’t walk around looking like I had powder all through my roots.

Let me know if this gave you a 💡 moment!

Lately, I have been feeling grateful.

Even though things around us may not be back to normal yet, there is still so much That we can be grateful for! Like...getting our hair done!
Remember when that wasn’t a thing for a while? I bet you are saying “Please do not remind me”!
The moral of the story is, it feels so good to be a hairstylist right now. I am forever thankful for every client that sits in my chair, we really have been through it all together!
In more recent days with the sun shining and better weather, I feel like it’s the light at the end of the tunnel. Anyone with me? That long ass tunnel that was dark as hell ... 😂😭🤦🏽‍♀️🙄

What are you feeling grateful for lately?

Sectioning is harder then you think.

My first week, better yet first day of hair school I couldn’t wait to get into it! I wanted to learn all of the things. Our teacher told us before anything we have to learn sectioning ..... (Aveda sectioning at that)

Letsssss go, I part my hair everyday .. I got this. The whole class is laughing like okay yeah sectioning 🙄

The last laugh was on all of us. We spent that whole week sectioning. She would walk around and critiquing even the littlest hair out of place. You have to understand Emily (our mannequin) does not have REAL hair it’s punctured into her plastic head. Needless to say all of us were ready to reconsider hair and throw Emily out of the window.

Learning this tool that I once laughed at was crucial behind the chair! Anyone else have some throw Emily out the window moments ?
