A glimpse of Second Fridays on Lancaster Ave✨
Good vibes. Safe spaces. Community joy. Art. Wellness. Shopping. Free samples. A little indulgence. And discounts flying everywhere! 🤎
Last night was extra special as the Keepers of the Culture community Keepers of the Culture, INC. gathered at Kanvas | Philadelphia for Jali Nights, paying homage to Brother Nashid Ali, co-founder of Keepers of the Culture, Inc., in celebration of his birthday. 🎉✨
The love spilled right out onto Lancaster Ave. 🤎
At Bari Butiki, apieceofstar was in the building sharing his homegrown loofah and amazing Celestial Veil soap, giving guests a chance to meet the maker, learn about his creations and experience them for themselves. ✨
We also loved seeing so many beautiful people stop by our Create Your Calm Aromatherapy Station to explore their senses and create their very own signature blends. 🌿✨
And the art! ❤️ The Silk Tent Miz Kenya’s MOTHER & CHILD exhibition featured the personal collection of the late Sharifa Abdul-Hamid, artist, collector, educator, cultural advocate and co-owner of the historic Heritage Art Gallery, offering a beautiful glimpse into her legacy and lifelong commitment to Black art, culture and community.
From discovering something new and supporting local businesses to seeing friends, families and neighbors simply enjoying the corridor together, the night was FULL.

Every Wednesday at 7PM, Soft Sound Sessions at Bari Butiki offers our community a space to pause, breathe, and reset through rotating experiences rooted in sound, restoration, reflection, and care.
